| It must be the season to dislike ones job. My job sux arse at the moment. Actually the whole engineering office I work for are being cost managed (30% cost reduction): which means 9 people are about to get fired. Everyone is unmotivated & thinks this place is turning to . Im thinking about jumping this sinking ship & moving up to teh gold coast. Maybe go to the beach more to surf & relax for a change :p |

I'm not gonna quit my job cause I have none right now :p
But I just got a call to go to one of the biggest employers in the area for an interview.
I'm all excited about it but I'm really not sure what the position is for ( my dad got the msg ).
It's basically got to do with electronics engineering or something of the likes I believe.
I'm crossing my fingers; I hope it'll be something I actually like because I don't really want to work with electronics at all unless it's exciting/challenging. But the company has great positions and they make big pushes for upward mobility. It's clearly stated in several interviews I read of the recruiter I need to see.
That goes to show how serious a company is when you can find an interview online on monster.com of the recruiter explaining their hiring objectives etc.

| i probably have the worst job you can get in a "i-country" (dunno what its called in english really, but what i mean is a "rich" country, not africa and such). Like 4-5 times a mounth i work 3-4 hours OVERTIME without any extra payment (my worktime is limited to 3 hours, so i only get payed during thoose 3 hours).. And btw i deliver newspaper to old retired hags in the middle of the night :) (including running up and down in stairs constantly)... GOD i hate my job, if would jump on anything else if i found it. Infact even prostitues have better working conditions than i have.. (hey they get SEX! what do i get, old hags nagging my back for 3 hours :toothless ) |

| Already quit mine about a month ago, decided to take a month vacation, I start Monday. Gotta love construction, want a vacation, quit and go back when your ready. |

when i was working, i almost always worked 1-2 hour overtime and never got overtime pay. |

| you guys are working the wrong jobs. dont pay overtime I dont ing work, its a law in some states, glad I live in one of them. |

I think I'm the only one who's caught all the Office Space references in there. "I just don't think I'm going to go anymore". :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:
Actually I hate my job. It's not that the money is bad, because it's fabulous. It's not that the hours are bad, I hardly work at all for all that I make. It's that this job contains TOO much drama. Honestly, I think that's why I get so bitchy on here. I go to work to work, not to make friends, but it's like a damn soap opera at work. CONSTANT drama. And I mean drama. Sex, drugs, cops, betrayal, all the good stuff. By the end of my shift, I am so fed up, I turn into BITCH mode and just tell everyone to shut the up. Not only that, but some of our staff seems to be brainless. No common sense. At all.
I'm job hunting on Monday for a new job, after I become a drunken beach bum for the weekend. :D |

I'm referring to my spare time waitressing job. :p I work there when I'm not doing photography jobs or working with the band. |
