if you want to MAKE music you wont need any tables, try downloading some free sample programs, others could tell you of a good one but i dont produce.

now if you wanted to DJ you would need some tables a mixxer some speakers and headphones.

but when you are DJ'ing you are not makeing music (well most arent) you are taking your favorite type of music and mixxing many diffrent traks together into sets.

hope this helps some

you need a mixxer or a receiver to take the music from the TT to your headphones. i dont think your gonna have much luck if im thinking about the same type of guitar amp. listing a make and model # will help with questions about hardwear

o ok well i guess ill have to buy some speakers but can i send the musci straight to the head phones also?

Uh, your not going to be using samples much if your making trance music. Most trance is constructed with synths as opposed to breaks or hip hop which uses samples extensively.

Anyway, like he said, if you want to DJ... your in the right place... if you want to produce, address this question to the production forums and leave the DJs in peace ;) They can be a uncouth lot if disturbed.

By your post I'm assuming you have no clue either way, so I'll explain the difference.

DJing... you taking two or more tracks and mixing them together. for kicks of for the aural pleasure of listeners. You can do this on a variety of platforms... Vinyl Turntable, Digital CD deck, Laptop or PC. PC is probably the cheapest option but the most geeky and not terribly DJ - ish, not to mention least fun. You wont pull chicks this way. Turntable is probably the most 'ard core and will set you back thousands of dollars each year in records but will provide you with endless ammounts of booty also. CDs are becoming more popular and are extremely versatile and are a sensible balance between booty and cost.

Production... You can go hardware or Software, with software being the cheapest and most accessable option available. With either, you will likely need a PC to atleast write your tracks on. If you have a rich daddy, then go buy a Virus TI (this is a hardware synthesiser) and get crackin on the latest banger. If your like rest of us plebs, there are plenty of free VST (software) synths out there to get you started. Grab some of those and a sequencer like FL Studio or Abelton Live and start producing.

So choose your desity. Production or DJing or both...

Do you like TECHNO..or do you like TRANCE. Quite the difference ;) .
Axolotyl
Actually this is a consideration too, as you'll find more techno releases make it to digital compared to the trance releases.
