Any remix of a Madonna track I have to hear :)
Hah that synth early does remind me a bit of Gouryella - Tenshi
Track is good w/without Vocals.
Nice plucked synth.
Vocals gets drowned a bit with the lead going but that can be fixed rather easily.
When the bridge begins, it sounds very empty, maybe try adding sweeping sounds and fxs to give it depth and atmosphere.
Try rolling in that synth that comes in at 6:15, along with fx to introduce that new synth/lead...build up very quick tension and boom! that new synth/sound hits.
Very nice breakdown, and it def could use fx/sweeps to give it more depth and so forth.
That bassline is so classic and so cheesy lol, but it works with the lead though...
May be cheesy, but I like my cheese! :tongue2

Very nice production! These sound effects, starting at around 0:46; remember me to the noise in the old computer game "keen 1" when you died of crashing with a monster :D
This song will stay in my playlist for a long time, that's sure!:) |

lets have a listen then after all those comments :)
Lol that bassline is exactly the same as Whirpool - Alaska (Filo & Peri remix), which means AWESOME BASSLINE :D. Very good drive, nice driving percussion as well, very basic thouhg. That acid misses some atmosphere and doesnt really is IN the mix, more outside of it, doesnt really fit. And then those cheezy bass chords :(, could have been so cool and then those cheezy chords. I think the vocal has been implemented pretty nicely actually :). Nice percussion fill before the break kicks in. I feel this production has way more in it then you made of it now for some reason. Vocal is a bit out of key with the strings at some points, a pity. Climax sounds really commercial and simplistic not my taste. Production wise its ok but also very simplistic, with only 3 or 4 elements its not really hard to eq things right and i do still think the mix sounds really flat.
Not a real fan of this track, i heard better work from you. |

| I agree about the acidey thingy feeling a bit out of place. Everything else was superb and fit perfectly. |

| Superb sound, bren!!! The melody is too thin for my liking, but it fits good in with the vocals. Bassline is tight - yepp. |

Thanks once again for all the feedback guys :)
I have taken all your comments on board whilst working on the dub mix (which is sounding pretty tight and less cheesy)

I LOVED Diamond Dust, so I thought I'd d/l this and Open Air. I'll comment later in an edit. :D YOU ROCK.
EDIT: Pretty good. Yes the lyrics are cheesy, but that doesn't detract from the listening experience one bit... well, for me, anyhow. And you continue to impress me with those pads ;) |

bren! you're back with a punch mate! awesome track here, beautiful strings, and the lead synth is a nice uplifting instrument. One thing that i miss in this track though ... you didn't use my favorite bit of madonna's vocal from this song, the one where she sings 'do you wanna go hiiiiigherrr'
top notch stuff bren, keep it up.
