pretty coo night..lawler ripped it up. played a very driving set all night long which impressed me. that opening dj was pretty damn good to..played a few goodies like zoo brazil - tonight (skylark remix) and that last tune he playedd..in off the meat racks haha. great seeing every1..i do agree spirit did look like crack den at like 6:00 when they turned on the lights and lawler was over..lawler played a lot of nasty treats as well:
danny tenaglia - elements (first tune)
some amazinggg track at 5:30 am...some1 has to ID it..
simon & shaker - freshness part 1 (a side)..jay that was the tune u wanted.sickk guitar bassline driven tune
too bad my memory is pretty vague atm and cant remember anyhting else :crazy: |

lawler was really good and so was the party on a whole...
crackdens are fun (IMO spirit is not one)...spirit destroys crobar any day in the atmosphere, the vibe, the set up, sound, and djs (on most occasions)
great times with the dysfunctional family from hell...
random sidenote: i dont get why people get on for being cracked out at a party...have people forgotten or have they just yet to learn ITS A PARTY!!!...isnt the point to go out, have a blast, and a release while losing yourself (and mind if you wish) in a sea of people and good music...instead of posing for pictures all night, having purposeless nonsensical conversations, and playing with cell phones why dont you shut the up and dance...
i mean what are people "supposed" to do...have a martini and talk about stocks while disecting minutia about the last track someone played and deciphering whether it was electro-progressive-acid house or tribal-tech-trance...gimme a break...may as stay home and jerk off to jim kramer on cnbc with PVD as your background soundtrack...
instead of being judgmental about others behaviors if you feel that there is too much negativity then maybe you should leave...or even try this novel concept ADD SOMETHING POSITIVE TO A PARTY...stop ting on the stuff that makes this scene what it is...FUN!!!... by being judgmental and further negative you only screw things up for yourself even more by being so...

Music was really smoking last night! Lawler brought the whole jungle tribe. He just started out banging and kept it going. I was surprised he just came out and starting throwing bombs. I did dance my ass off. The crowd sucked a big one. As such, I went upstairs to the VIP area where there wasn't much of anyone (you could just walk up there no problem) and chilled for most of the night. I only left when I couldn't move anymore.
He was so good he kicked me into listening to all his mixes today. Nothing but tribal drums, dark and dirty, shoved directly up your candy ass. |

Wow...Lawler was amazing last night!!!! Even though the crowd sucked, the music was so good that I was able to dance all night until closing around 6 AM despite the vibe.
I was also pleased with the setup. Having Lawler spin on the stage and the netting gave spirit a very intimate feel. |

| Lawler's mixing skills are as good as it gets.. every transitions were perfect, placement and volume control were spot on.. the only slight problem i had was the programming.. he started out BANGING then dropped it down a notch, and started building from there.. but around 4am he started to get hard again and this time, it started to get redundant a bit, the flow was good but as it was banging track after track it felt a little overwhelming.. ok enuff with strictly music aspect of night.. i had a great time overall awesome seeing everyone out sux the sander crew coulnt get back into crobar.. at least its only a block away.. i love spirit the most fav. and the best part about it is the sound system.. its just fukin unreal best 'big room' sound in nyc hands down.. aight, gonna get ready to goto fuzion, see you guys soon. |

enjoyed every min of it good seeing those that made it out there an a few unexpected surprise faces def had a blast still in recovery mode (im old damn it !!!!:whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: )jay u are one crazy muthaa jumping on the stage like that i was like WTF?!?!?!:stongue: :eek: :eek: :haha: :stongue: chris good look on that track is siiiiiiic listenin to it now hahahaah(on repeat of course hahahaha) funny thing after his set i talked to him and was like whens the nxt time hes coming to town which more or less will be in 3/4 months so i go nxt would u mind bring trisco - musak (lawler mix) so he goes damn thats old but hed bring it .....(lil does he know nxt time he plays here imma bring the record JUST in case he forgets to bring it MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :disbelief :disbelief :disbelief :disbelief :disbelief )
