I agree. There are many crap prog tunes out there, but the ones who are good are really, really good. It can be because of deep male vocals, mesmerising basslines, glittery synth blobs, anything. It's hard to describe.
And prog. house as well as prog. breaks are both excellent genres IMHO. |

A mate of mine mixes prog breaks, amazing stuff, nice and chilled, but thats not what I want if I am dancing.
Great for travelling or listening to at home tho :D |

the only tranc ei can stand anymore is the pre-2000 Oakey, and some 2002ish ferry/armin.
other than that, i moved from trance to prog/tribal, from prog, to prog + breaks, from that to tech house, from there... well, into my current taste which ive been into for more than a year now. as pretentious as it may sound... minimal techno, electro, and acid. |

In fact I do, but I rarely find any NEW trance tunes that I really like.
Feels like people dont produce real trance anymore, or it might be me being to slack to find it. but honestly it is to much out these days.
The only producer I can think of Right now that remind me of the trance back in the days in vascotia with calibro, gee wish there were more artists like those two :( |
