Ooh, downloading now! Love Hanz Zimmer and other modern classical stuff, and have been looking into getting some decent VSTs so I can try making some classical stuff in cubase. Used to do midis before I knew what the hell a VST was, but now that really just doesn't do it for me any more :D

Really nice sounding piece overall, not too repetitive, absolutely beautifully sung and mixed vocals, really subtle at times (good). Love it when the low horns come in at around 4:45.
Not many suggestions to make, I don't think this piece can get much better! Maybe make the percussion a little quieter and a little less repetitive in the climax of the piece? Also, maybe add a little more reverb/depth to the crash at the end of the climax (6:13)? Just a personal thing though. Other than that, it's fantastic. I loved it :D
This has just got me even more excited about making classical music, can't wait to get some VSTs and see how realistic they sound! Thanks very much! |

Excellent stuff Manvel!
It actually reminded me of the game 'Divine Divinity', especailly the instruments used.
Lovely vocals as well, Cécile sure can do great voxes! |

Hey. This is amazing work. I expect to hear more of your stuff in upcoming movies :). In light of that, I think I'm going to sync this and make an 7m 12s trailer of some movie I select. Ill post it when I finish it. Shouldnt be too long until I'm done but who knows :).

Hey,
Listening .... Nice flute, ur strings sounds way synthtetics, I would encourage u to use edirol orchestral, because when the strings appear all sounds like videogame music, WOW, drums, amazing drums, they are totally pro and movish.
Vocals are really cool, breakdown/Adagio is cool but I would use an harp instead the plucked sound to add more realism imo :).
In overall, Ur drums and vocals are top notch, totally pro for me, the rest of the sounds are good, but I would try some more realistic strings and also instead to use tambor/snare rolls I would use timpani rolls :).
Keep the great work mate ;).

thanks kopi :) no more worries about the synthetic strings...i got myself the east west quantum leap symphonic orchestra GOLD EDITION!!! OMFG its 15 gigs of pure orchestra samples at my fingertips...
check out this clip I made with the sounds :P It's supposed to be a scary song...something you'd hear in a horror movie or something heh

Hey. I have the final render finished but I'm working on sizing it down while keeping the quality up so hopefully sometime early tomorrow (the 27) so watch for that :). I've selected Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring. This is just a 2m sample I render a while ago and since then has been updated (but just minorly). Hope you like it :).

Hey Cécile. It actually doesnt take as long as you think. For the most part I'm done. I rendered what I hoped to be the final earlier tonight but I'm a little dissatisfied so tomorrow, I'm going to patch it up, upload it and let you all see it :). It spans the entire 7m15s and goes through much of the movie :). Just wanted to get a broad mix of how the music could be used.
BTW, you have a VERY beautiful voice :). It was quite soothing working on the trailer ;).
