...was named today by the popular magazine Rolling Stone. As number one, they chose Radiohead - Ok Computer (story here)
Thoughts? Personally, I love this album, though I may not have called it #1 since 1985. |

You can't say that and not offer and alternative of your own...
What would you have submitted as number one? |

I believe there is no "best album" voiced by opinion, as people are of varying tastes.
Radiohead suck imo. |

Yeah i can see OK Computer being # 1, or at least in the top 5. It's not personal opinion, whether you like or dislike Radiohead, rather it's a brillaint album of awesome songwriting and performance.
You don't have to appreciate the album itself, but the musical genius behind it. |

That album was certainly up there. It also seems like everyone owns at least one copy of it.
I don't know if that album is up for being the best in the last 20 years but I'm not sure what else I would have picked .... Pink Floyd ? |

I dont think Pink Floyd has had a new release since 1985 (new meaning not jst digitally remastered albums or lyrics), but I could easily be wrong. |

When was The Division Bell released? and A momentary Lapse of Reason?
i think those two are late 80s, early 90s. |

Yeah, I always hate these lists because it's such a subjective topic, but damn, I swear that as soon as read the title I thought to myself "Hmmm... Amnesiac or OK Computer?"
And for the record, I would go so far as to say I hate the stereotypical Radiohead fan... that kind of weird combo between Goth and Indie/Emo Rocker... Maybe that's just where I'm from.... |

Division Bell... last official "Pink Floyd" album... I think'91, not sure though... Certainly no Roger Waters on that album though... |

well what constitutes the best album of the last twenty years? is it the sound? its influence on society as a whole? a combination of things? what?
because i have a couple of albums in mind at the moment, but depending on the definition i could pick some over others... |
