It's back! Started today and already rain delays!

HAHAH!! The EXACT same story today, Day 1! Ha!

Well, watched the ing Tim Heman vs. Moya match.

Jesus, won of the most intense Day 1 matches I've ever beheld. The crowd was going off like it was a ing final. Wow.

But Henman of course has a very special place to the Brits there.

See that Justine just CRUISED through her match...

6-3, 6-0. Thats my girl! She's gonna take it this year, I trust! (I hope... *please!*)

Since I haven't been working during the days I watched tennis most of the day!

I'm just kind of pissed that there is no HD tennis :( While the tennis is great, the picture looks horrible lol. This would be the best event for HD broadcasting...

Yah, Ryan told me back in March I think it was that I'd notice a real difference if I was watching in HD.

I dont watch any sports other than tennis, so my exposure to the "marvels" of HD is non-existent!

But now I wanna see what its like so I can gage for myself. :D

It's better you don't haha...unless you can watch it all the time. I can't watch any programs in Standard Definition anymore. It's pretty bad...

I'm sure it'll be in HD when the American channels start picking up the feeds!

Wow. Just saw the Sharapova - Ai Sug match.

Awesome. I really like Sharapova outfit this year.

At Wimbledon, Maria hands down always pretty much wins for best, nicest, hottest looking outfit.

Love her all in white... its that blonde hair of hers. Blonde hair w/ white... im a huge sucker for that.

The match was great to watch. Sharapova games wasnt the tightest, but damn watching her catch lines had me marvelled the entire match.

, have been cleaning up the house for company since this morning, I forgot till noon that tennis coverage was on! :(

Glad I caught the last 3 hours!

And even though there's never any play at the Championships Wimbledon on the first Sunday, Ch. 3 will air some repeat coverage (TSN is not) starting at noon till 3.

Good, I'll get some more tennis tomorrow as well now.

DID ANYONE ING SEE THAT !!! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO DISAPPOINTED RIGHT NOW!!!!! :whip: :whip:

I cant believe Serena somehow pulled her together after that spasm/strain and manage to beat Hantuchova!!! :whip: :whip:

UGH! I'm not saying Hantu is the best player in the game, but shes damn good (a little chokey at times and def not as 'committed-intense' as Serena is), but shes still in the top 20, and quite good...

but still, with Sernea so handicapped, I am utterly flabergasted she didnt ing make that match hers! UGH!

Oh well, all this means I'm going to get get to see my ikng girl Justine Henin ing crush her (god wiling) in the next round.

KILL HER JUSTINE, ING RAPE HER ON THE COURT!

Edit:

Oh, and I must admit, Daniela Huntochova is one of the only women I love to watch because she's simply so god damn cute. The girl is adorable as hell and I want to watch her matches for no other reason than this. This is probably why I am so upset at Serena knocking her out (unbelievably)...

To have seen Hantuchova face my favourite Justine Henin would have been so amazing beyond words for me.

Though I tend to always like Sharapovas outfits the best at Wimbledon, I think I hafta give it to Daniela's this tourney. GOD IT WAS SO HOT.

And Sharapova often get too "frilly or fluffy of puffy" (I dunno, pick an adjustive) with her outfits.

Consistently, no one's are hotter than Hantuchovas... it's that they're always so just nice and simple. Whether its long sleeves, or short shorts instead of a dress, I simply love the way this girl dresses on the court.

+1+1+1+1!!!!

I was so excited yesterday when they showed the Serena/Hantuchova matched! Daniela is definitely one awesome looking girl and is definitely one great reason to watch women's tennis (she's also very skilled). Little dissapointed in her first set, but she started making a comeback before the "incident".

Very dissapointing indeed :(

Jem_hadar
The girl is just f*cking gorgeous!

Well, tomorrow I should see Justine r*pe Serena on the courts, I thope. Here's corssing my fingers. That'll be pay-back for me :D, perfectly, IMO.

LOL I dont think Nadal was able to finish his match today either... he's so annoyed at all the rain too. lol

Hvaent seen teh match as been at work, but the score is ing close... what a HUGE upset thatll be if he doesnt win this 5th set.

Tatiana Golovin's Red Underwear Tests Wimbledon Dress Code

Tatiana Golovin almost got disqualified in a Wimbledon tennis match on Wednesday because of a pair of red underwear. The 19 year old tennis star was taken aside by the referee to determine whether or not her red underwear did in fact coincide with the dress code. Wimbledon rules state that 'predominantly white' attire must be worn. Fortunately for Tatiana, the referee ruled in her favor under the grounds that she was wearing underwear and not shorts. According to the rules, if the hemline of the player's underwear is above or below a certain measure it is considered underwear. Tatiana's knickers were measured and were deemed (by the referee) to be underwear and not shorts. The predominetly white rule only applies if the player is wearing shorts.

Here's what a Wimbledon spokesperson has to say about the situation:

"They (Tatiana's shorts) were cleared with the referee in advance by the player. On the basis that they are underwear, they do not have to conform to the predominantly white rule. If they are above the hemline they are deemed to be underwear and not shorts."

But even after all the media attention, Tatiana refused to change her ways. In fact, she showed up to her next match wearing another pair of red underwear. "They say red is the color that proves that you're strong and you're confident so I'm happy with my red knickers," says the Russian tennis star. Good for you, Tatiana, let's hope they're good luck!
