Wimbledon hawk could clip Sharapova's wings

Playing in a tennis dress that looks like a swan could be Maria Sharapova's downfall at Wimbledon this year - if the All England Club's hawk mistakes her for the real thing.
A hawk is released to fly around the grounds every morning during the championships to frighten off any pigeons.
"Does the hawk usually bite the swan? Jesus, I might have to cut those pleats away," the 2004 champion joked at a news conference today.
Sharapova has been sporting a white dress with frills on the bottom and wing-like ones down the back, the latest in a series of creative outfits the keen designer has worn on court.

Djokovic vs Baghdadis was a classic! Best match of the tourney so far imo. Poor Djoko just played over 9 hours of tennis in the last 48 hours! And he's gotta face Nadal tomoro - good luck!
Looks like Federer and Henin again - tennis is getting boring lol |

Definitely a great game! Only caught the end the of the 4th set, and all of the 5th, but wow! Was definitely a classic. Was a little dissapointed w/ the Baghdadis loss as I'm a fan, but definitely hope Djokovic and pull through the the finals! |

. Im stunned over here, was watching the CBS SportsLine live scoring... and as I watched the 2nd start i was shocked, how hte hell was Bartoli taking it to Justine bad strongly in at the beginning of that set?? Justine evening fought back I can see from teh score adn lost 7-5...
but she got steamrolled in teh 3rd! :( ugh
No way Baroli beats Venus (but keep in mind i didnt see the match so cant comment on how shes playing)... but Venus is playing too well too.. and shes a big match player... i dont think bartoli is gonna be able to close her out. |

Im so sad right now. ... At least Justine beat down Serena though!!!! I still have that to keep me smiling and happy, and that actually matters more to me than her taking this cup. (granted its the only one she still hasnt won) I wanted to see Serena f'n go down after taking out Hantuchova!

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) - Justine Henin will have to wait another year to try and complete a career Grand Slam after being stunned in the Wimbledon semifinals by 18th-seeded Marion Bartoli.
Bartoli ran the top-ranked Henin around the court over the final two sets, using incredible accuracy to come back from a set and break down to win 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 Friday.
Bartoli will face Venus Williams in Saturday's final. The three-time Wimbledon champion beat No. 6 Ana Ivanovic 6-2, 6-4.
The No. 31 Williams and the No. 20 Bartoli are the two lowest ranked women to reach the Wimbledon final since the computer rankings began in 1975.

henin winning will NEVER get boring me for. I could watch her play all ing day. her form is gorgeous beyond words.

UPDATE:
! Richard Gasquet won! Wow. I wish I could hvae seen the last set in that match. I watched the 3rd and a bit of the 4th.
Roddick was power hitting big time, but Gasquets shot making esp w/ his backhand was stellar!! Simply too good. (kinda like Fed :p)
So Fed is playing Gasquet in the semis. Thats gonna be incredible. I hope I can catch that match. I have a feeling about it. |

He went from being down 2 sets and a break to winning with a FEROCIOUS backhand and great court sense. I cannot wait to see how he fairs against Federer!!!! |

WOW! I just watched this match. What a match it was. If you missed it, you must watch the replay. Nadal pushed Federer like he has never been pushed before. Simply AMAZING match!
