Dumb Cop, Need Advice (pg. 2)

There was no one around when I dropped her off, which either means someone was driving with their lights off, or someone who has something against me called it in. So then he goes, "What's your major malfunction, man? No, wait, I know what your problem is, you drive an Eagle Talon, your dad should've never even have bought you this car.", he only knows this cause my car is under my dad's name. He gave me a warning and told me I was on his "list". Then he called my dad and said that I was supposed to call him and get right home. So I called my dad and I denied it up and down, because... well... I didn't do it. So we started thinking of things that happened.
#1. The cop was profiling me because of my car and was following me.
#2. Someone I knew and was enemies with called it in.
Either way, it doesn't make sense. Whoever was "following me" didn't have their lights on. The cop obviously had something against my car. He shouldn't be harassing me for something I didn't do and he can't prove. I think the cop was following me, cause he just wanted to scare me. Because, if he saw me run even one stop light/sign, I should've been pulled over, and the person would've called that one in the first time I did it, not follow me to see if I run anymore. It just all doesn't add up.
We're going to call the police tomorrow to talk to the guy and the chief, because this is all bull and I'm not going to stand for it.
But what do you think I should do? |
I guess this sort of thing depends on where you live. Someone driving drunk nearly killed me and my mom while we were on our way from from the laundromat. They were driving on the wrong side of the road so I had to swerve around them and break. So when I did they got out of the car ahnd were laughing hysterically and theyre speech was all slurred and one of them starting vomiting. So I got the plat # down and told the cops to at least look out for them so they dont kill someone. They told me if they were not there and did not physically see it for themselves they cannot do anything and it is just hearsay. |

Doesnt that mean that the person who was following you would have had to run the first stop light aswell to be able to see you run the second and third?
Either that or he was braking the speed limit to catch up with you. Get them to arrest HIS ass! |

u can walk by a group of cops and be like, "PIG" and they really can't do anything.

the most he could have done was follow through with the complaint he received and even then, it would have been he said/she said...if someone did make that phone call, and remained anonymous, they'd have no case.
that cop was way out of line and if i were that kid, i would go right to the sheriff's office and report him...in fact, when he started mouthing off, i would have gotten a pen and paper and asked him for his badge number...that would have shut him up. |

in the end, it does. if the cop is croked and is going to mess with you, it obviously won't help you at the moment it's happening...but if you know what to do, you will have his job after all is said and done.
if you know how to conduct yourself and let the cop know you are fully aware of your rights (and his as a cop), it will make them think twice before throwing their weight around. most people don't know and automatically get scared of cops, but if you are assertive (yet respectful) and know how to give them that vibe like, "oh , she/he knows what i can and can't do", they'll most likely leave you alone. |

Yeah, I definately know my rights ;)
But it's probably not a good idea to call a cop a pig and whatnot, better to avoid conflict and just be assertive that you know your rights.
Most of the time they will off if they know that you aren't a moron. |
