I voted PVD(hell of a surprise huh) Seriously, here's my reason. HE TOTALLY OWNED AT CROBAR! Every set that has been recorded this year that I've heard has been MINDBLOWING, especially the Jahre Maximal set that SWAMPER uploaded. Also that special set he did for MIXMAG was amazing! I hear he sucked ass in miami. BUT that's the only one I consistently hear he was horrible.
Now other honorable mentions are Sander K because he's consistently good as well, however there were a couple of sets that were just OK.
Morillo has been great also
Tiesto rocked MIAMI but basically laid eggs in NYC
Armin was amazing the last time at SPIRIT, Really really good in DC in April and boring down in MIAMI.
Mauro Picotto was great at SPACE and really good at AVALON
BUT, my favorite party thus far was j00f at Avalon. Have not danced that much since seeing Marco V in Toronto last year. |

Yes, I do base my judgement on that - it's the only time I've sen him this year, and this poll is on "the last six months"... And I do agree that starscape was a disaster, and I do agree that a DJ's performance has a lot to do w/ the crowd and venue. I'm not knocking Sander K on the whole - just on what I've seen of him this year. To keep it fair, I've only seen PVD once this year (twice if you count New Years), and that's who my vote went to. |

Id have to break it up into 2:
PVD for trance after hearing some amazing sets this year so far plus his release of POD2.
But house...hmmm Id say either Sander K or Deep Dish...both were ridiculous in WMC at Spin and Space...ahhh the memories:crazy: |

Sander KKK got my vote...he has been tearin down all 3 times I've seen him spin so far this year...he's teh shiett...!!!!
altho it's a tough call, there are many favs in that list, like Deep Dish, Howells, Morillo etc...:clown: |
