"ESCM", I loved that record. Although I was wrong about "Emotional Technology" he'd actually been doing the breaks stuff since "Movement In Still Life". Which I think was a really nice record as he balanced out the breaks stuff with nice progressive house stuff. |

Just wondering. It just like all his stuff, except for a few songs. Both his breakbeat and progressive stuff are awesome. I didn't think many people on this site liked him, cuz he's not really trance. He was the first techno artist I ever heard. My first techno album was R & R, but I don't like that album very much anymore. Besides R & R, all his albums are awesome. It was a good transition too, from progressive to breakbeat. It wasn't like all of a sudden, but it was quick. |

If you are really new to breaks I wouldnt really recommend going to progressive break. Florida breaks, electro breaks, tech breaks, are all a less refined sound but still very fun. For example:
Dj Icey, Dj Baby Anne, Hybrid, UBERZONE, some Way Out West productions, like Way Out West -Apollo, some parts of Sasha sets. I'm not really a breaks expert but that is my opinion. Go with a lot of the stuff that Kristine Club said. |

One of my favorite tracks of all-time.
Definitely check out Icey, Hyper, Hybrid, and Chable. Breakbeat just means that the beat is broken up, rather than on a consistent four to the floor scale. |
