here is my review of ferry...
in no particular order:
ferry corsten - punk
ferry corsten - right of way
bt - force of gravity (ferry corsten remix)
ferry corsten - its time
ferry corsten - rock your body rock
i am kinda disappointed he played the usual tracks as always. he only had 1.5hr set. those 5 tracks right there is atleast 30 minutes. i know he played some other songs of his too, i just dont know the name of em off the top of my head. if im not mistaken, i think all the tracks he played were his...either original productions or remixes. i still had fun tho. he had me movin non stop for sure.
house stage was tight to def. i loved it out there. i got my dance on.
infected mushroom was SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg. omg.
i liked crystal method. good set. i love me some breaks.
i wished i had the chance to experience somg f'n drum n bass. i love that ish.
i didnt go on any rides. did anyone? i know electrophile did. he went on a ride in line for a ride. hahahahahaaha. ok i'll hush it...
EDC was dope. wasnt feelin junkie too much. what exactly does he do when he plays live? i appreciate an actual dj more than what he does when he plays live. he played his own tracks and remixes.
doran played some sick tracks.
left edc around 230am and had to drive back to santa barbara. i drove us to the 101fwy and then LOMELI took over. i fell asleep and that fool kept waking me up whenever he hit the bumps. i woke up and asked him if he was ok and the ****** kept lying to me and telling me he was fine. bitch kept falling asleep at the wheel. ha.
luckily we made it back to santa barbara alive. we got here before 5:30am. i was in bed by 6am and had to wake up to go to work at 1215pm. work sucked. my ears were ringing all day. it was worth it. i had a ton of fun. |

All I gotta say is that this night was perfect! Other then Julia losing her keys, which we fixed easily, there were no snags. When we walked in, we were checking things out. We went to go get some drinks and walked back into the main stage. Infected mushroom was playing and was tearing it up! This was my first time seeing them and I have been listening to these guys for almost 8 years so I was totally blown away! Junkie XL was DA ! Crystal Method, I wish they played live! But none the less threw down some good beats. Ferry came in and just tore it up and left no room for downtime! His set was seriously banging. Thank you EDC for a good time! Another slam dunk weekend with good music/vibes and FRIENDS! Next week....... PvD and Ferry!
I wish I could hit fast forward on this week to get to saturday already!

Infected Mushrooms KILLED the dancefloor, as usual. First time seeing Ferry & Junkie, and they were sick. Wasn't really feeling Crystal Method's set.
Julia, we made it home and that's all that matters. It was one of the biggest missions of my life to finally get home, but we made it lol. My uncle was dieing.. he is too old for these things! :rolleyes: |

Wow, the makers EDC definitely knows how to organize this party. It was great seeing some of you guys for like "10 minutes." I left to see some other friends that I haven't seen in ages and they ended up seeing Charles Feelgood and DJ Dan.
I said to myself screw this, I wanna hear some Trance. I looked all over for you guys and couldn't find you. The funny thing is that I saw that guy jump from the stage and I was practically about 10 feet away from the crash landing. At least now I know that I was really close to finding you guys. |

Great to finally meet Miss Julia (outstanding in Trashy Lingerie as promised :D) and to be able to help out a bit with the transportation issues after the show--bummer :( Sorry I parked so far, guys!!
Lots of extravagant and sexy costumes all over the place; sweetcandy girl's naughty schoolgirl definitely among the winners ;)
Thanks to neinerlove and DJFaded (again!) for glowing me up, but were photos really necessary? :rolleyes: j/k
I went only to the Kinetic Fields area, and I have to say that the energy there was incredible throughout the evening. But music-wise for me, the whole thing was only about Ferry. I wasn't sure what to expect after seeing him go in various directions during his long set at Godskitchen last October, but it turned out great; too short, actually. Sunset was definitely the high point for me, but almost every single tune was trancetastic as well (can't remember any that haven't already been mentioned).
Seeing him shape a heart with his hands back at sweetcandy girl's and neinerlove's heart sign was the kind of gesture that makes you feel really good about the guy. They deserved it sooo much!! If anyone happened to catch this priceless moment on camera, PLEASE post it! I liked how he played with the laser too (but yeah, too much smoke for the crowd in front of the stage at times, and those light banks make it really hot). Really good interaction with the crowd, always smiling and signing stuff while spinning :crazy:
Another awesome night in the company of all the TAs :)
After this, July 3 in Vegas with a longer set suddenly feels a lot more appealing... |

yea i think crystal method had some sick ass set. one of the reason why my body is still sore as of today. they got some unique style that mixes rock and electronic music. if you guys like their style, listen to ready for action, busy child, broken glass, and starting over...it'll get your adrenaline pumping. |

| BTW, I found out just this weekend that the Vanguard's production manager was also the one responsible for EDC (and he had only 3 weeks to work on it :eek: ). I say great job in both places, Ian! |
