steve lawler was in' amazing!!! and the DJ who opened for him was good too, he kept the energy flowing and then like 20 mins before lawler gets on, the opener pumped up the energy and lawler tore it up the instant he got on. it was insane.
i don't remember most of the songs that he played, but the one song that i do remember, i was going crazy to! "Criss Source - hugs 'n kisses"
man that song sounds amazing on a giant ass system...
teh clovis - man, big thanks to you for sharing, totally made my night!
michelle (kittycrush) - it was nice to finally meet you, heres to many more great nights together...
tigo & noree - thanks for stopping by at the booth, i was entirely too tired to move, hehe, got back up later newayz and went to dance for a little bit.

Had an amazing time seeing Lawler last night. He spun an incredible set that got the crowd going totally crazy. There was so much energy there.
I only wish I could remember more of it |

Lawler completely blew me away last night! The way he opened, I was speechless! The energy on that dance floor was insane! WOW! He definitely tore it up. I never can stop dancing when I hear him spin! Can't walk now, hehehe...
Also really enjoyed Kazell's set on the patio! Incredible energy flowing out there!
So great to see you TA's there! What a great group we had!:D You guys are always so much fun! So great to see Tigo and Tigo again!;) Had such a blast partying with Clovis!:crazy: Glad I surprised you last night!;) Here's to more good times!:D Good to see Bas and Bunnie; you two are so cute! Very cool to finally meet and hang out with liquidmist2001! Glad your finally out with us. Looking forward to hanging out with you again!;)

yeap lawler was definitely badass. by far one of my favorite parties this year.
best songs of the night for me were
funky green dogs - reach for me(steve lawler mix)
planet funk - stop me (king unique mix)
and whatever that 2nd one he played was
good ! |

I TOTALLY called that first track he played from that 30 min mix......oh man...the dirty drill sound...it was SICK! Sounds so crazy on Avalon's speakers...
Lawler was NUTS. Dirty dirty dark tribal with some electro and acid sprinkled on top...danced my in ASS off...and the lighting and overall atmosphere inside Avalon was just soooooooo crazy! Dark and scary...with Lawler laying down a perfect soundtrack!
Awesome night...had fun with our small group of TA's! Kittycrush...I didnt know you had such good taste ;) :p
Liquid...dude...my pleasure...it was awesome!! Lets see the pics!
Tigo...another great night...I can feel this is going to be one of many at Avalon!

I hate to break it to you, and I wasn't there so I can't back up this claim, but according to the guys at Red, Lawler faked his set.

Again I don't know if this is true but I do trust what these guys say so if they're saying it I have a tendancy to believe them.

I dunno...I think they are full of .
Lawler has been on fire recently...theres no reason why he would do this...and he was really into it that night.
Those guys said his set was boring...psshhh...thats in bull.

Again I wasn't there so I don't know exactly what they saw and what you saw, but I have been to events where it seemed like the DJ was into it....ie paul oakenfold....and he faked the entire show. I've also been standing behind the booth and been able to see when someone fakes a show and really unless your standing there watching for it you would never know.
BTW though people are entitled to their opinions and I would never call someones opinion bull, it makes you look dumb for arguing something that's subjective. If you say instead, "I had a F$&*ing amazing time and they can just not show up next time." you'll find more people will appreciate your opinion.

That post is just one guy who for some reason is pissed at the world and want's to spoil eveyrone's fun.
His whole statement is disproved - he's got an essential fact totally wrong. Steve Lawler's set wasn't boring AT ALL. If this one guy had actually been there he would have seen how crazy the crowd got and felt the incredible energy Lawler brought. |
