Damn Woody, that's quite a set up you've got there. Open up your pad so we can spin to that rockin' bass ends...kidding.
I've got:
2 Tech SL1200s
1 DJM500
1 CDJ-1000 MK2 (its making me forget vinyl altogether)
1 CDJ-800 (ditto)
1 Pioneer HDJ1000 headphones
2 M-Audio near field monitors (booth)
2 Whatever Pioneer Bookshelf speakers
And trying to figure out the easiest way to record a set. I guess that's why i started this thread.... |

A lot of people like to use Sound Forge, but I was having a lot of issues with it, so I went back to using Music Match, believe it or not. It's simple to use, and the sound quality is fine. I then use a really simple program called CD Wave to cut my track marks. I usually have them mastered, before they are printed, but that's out of my hands. |

| Wow, those are some pretty amazing looking set ups. Tjpatel, I've got M-audios too and they sound great. Not much low end but that's ok since it's wired separately into my booth control. Too bad i live in a small apt w/ cranky neighbors... |

Im a spinner also. I've got (sigh) Stanton STR8-80's and a Behringer DJX700. My music collection though is in need of much improvement, mostly classics and some house. My skills at mixing are slightly decent. A nice pair of CDJ-1000's would be a nice improvement.
I'm in need of some experience and some teachings in the way of mixing, and more friends who DJ. Nore was there to share my first turntables and we learned the basics together. If it wasn't for him showing me the light of electronic music, i never would have gotten tables in the first place.
Of course, now he's gettin the gig's while i still spin for my good pals Bed, Dresser, and Closet. BITCH! Im kidding, dude. If you're reading this, you've taken the first step of a very long staircase. Dont worry, ill bug you later on down the line to get me a gig somewhere.:happy2:
Anyway, if there is anybody who enjoys mixing and is looking for someone to hang and mix with (and other things:happy2: ), i could use some escapes from life and a few friends to club, drug, and mix with, plus i wont have to bug Nore so much. |
