It's not the most fun of drives going through Louisiana, though others may disagree with my assessment based off their own experiences. I don't like driving through any state that may have a carnivorous lizard devour my flesh whilst I'm broken down next to some foul marsh lagoon, much less deal with one whose cops adore picking on people with Texas license plates whenever the Saints have a bad season.
With fuel prices the way they are right now, it may be more expedient to opt to fly anyway, if merely for the break in transit time and cost efficiency. |

| Shoot, for $125 and, like, two hours in the air, I'd fly. :wtf: |

I may opt for the plane flight as well...
I drove to Voodoo last year with 3 dumbasses and it was pure HELL!!!!
j/k The 9 hours flew by, but I would hate to put that kinda mileage on my car again.
Should we try to book hotels in the same area? |

Dallas to NOLA is not a fun drive. If it's just one or two, I'd say drive for sure. If money is the concern and you have several people, then consider driving.
realize, it's a long time on the road. Take into consideration, gas costs, wear and tear on the car, potential speeding tix, plus you maybe extra tired for an outdoor event, and that sucks.
Just fly, if can afford it.
Good luck. |

I don't want to abuse my car much more. I already have to drive from VA/DC area to TX for school. About 20-22 hours. I'm gonna die. :nervous:
but LA will be worth it I think. |

Cops picking on Texas drivers here?
Yes they do and ing rightful! :haha:
I was driving back to Alex from Baton Rouge a few weeks ago doing 76 or so in the 70. Most of the vehicles that flew (i'm talking 80+) were Chevy Tahoes/GMC Yukons with Texas plates. |

Yes. Canal St. hotels charge out the ass. Don't stay on Canal. If you're rich, you can stay at Windsor Court.
I'd recommend the Ambassador Hotel (considering prices don't go up for Voodoo.. and that's doubtful.)
http://www.ambassadorhotelneworleans.com/site/
It's a little more than a Radisson or Holiday Inn but if you've got the cash, it's well worth the extra few dollars due to location and just cause.. it's something nice. |

Those're the guys feeding your crocodiles with our dead. I'd be in a hurry if I had a body to ditch, too. Cut us some slack, we're doing humanity a service here. :D |

Im undecided...still saving up for WMC next year. I'll see when the time comes. Tiesto's alright...I seem to like his sets when he is playing in clubs rather than at festivals. At Rich's and CLub Space he owned whereas at Far WEst and Ultra...eh.. kinda so-so. |
lmfao! same here matt. im saving up for WMC 06' since the last one drained my account |
