at what mp3 bit rate do you guys compress your audio cds?

| 96, 128, 160, etc. i'm saving my collection as data so that i can just listen to the compressed files and leave the originals untouched. do you guys even compress to mp3? do you use other formats? grazi.:D |

| Used to be 128, but then I got addicted to 192 and I can't stand anything lower. |

192. I don't get any appreciable gain at a higher level, however, 128 is lower limit because it distorts down below that.

| 192 for okay stuff, but 224-320 for the good stuff that deserves it. |

I got 900W on this computer with two 10" woofers and can't tell the difference. Maybe I can tell 256 or something on the living room speakers with 15" woofers.
