you are right vlad...used to be called the soundfactory bar before it's transition into twilo.

i completely agree. i think space taking over spirit would be horrible, and another example of the littler guy getting pushed out for another "mcclub" as tae so aptly put it. i think made has been doing a great job with spirit lately, and i'd hate to see them get pushed out just as they were starting to get some momentum. besides who needs another crobar? what we need is more crackdens. and be sure to bring ur earplugs only if u dont wanna hear the $450,000 phazon, by far the best system in this city. i mean, i dont wanna sound like a spirit whore, i'd rather go to seho any day, but i think they deserve a little credit. made did a great job with the place. by the way, is this even true or is it still just a rumor? |

I personally love Spirit the way it is....my favorite club in NYC right now. I'd really hate to see it turn into another Crobar.
btw is any of this confirmed or still rumor at this point? |

spirit charged me $30 for 2 greygoose and sprites.
crobar charged me $24 for 2 greygoose and sprites.
webster hall charged me $18 for 2 greygoose and sprites.
18+ clubs means they need to rape the bar to make off the amount of 21+ people that are in the place versus the 18+ that are in the place. |

well MADE brings djs/producers that everyone wants to see. come to think of it, I really do credit them for bringing rare appearances like Holden and Nic Fanciulli since I have never seen their shows till they came to Spirit. :D hmm actually i would *hate* to lose that -- its nice to see a venue besides places like the sullivan room and canal room bring forth great talent at a decent price. :D and lately ive thought the sound has been incredible. i more often have to wear earplugs at avalon and crobar, as well as encounter more rude ppl at those venues, even at 21+ events.
well if space mgmt put more money into making the club more spacious and bringing in djs ppl want to see, then ill be fine with it. if they end up putting even more vip sections it then ill hate it (aka crobar). spirit started off with madd vip sections too but as of late theyve let everyone go up to the 2nd floor which provides an alternative to the crowded floor, and ppl were even sitting on the bleachers at Armin.
i guess we'll bring up this discussion again if and when Space does take over Spirit. |
