Can someone tell me whats happening to trance...where did trance by lost witness and system f go and even though its a bit newer some songs like komodo by mauro picotto....ive downloaded almost every song posted in the best of this year and most other posts and i always ending up deleting all these songs without a basic melody..cosmicman-i love you, is the only relatively new song that should make the top 15 of an all time list...can someone tell me whats happening and if there are any new artists/dj's that are coming out with some new with decent and addictive melodies
dont mean to be so paranoid but i really need something new |

as far as I know it's evolved a little........maybe you just haven't joined it yet.....h8 to break it to you.....but it's still here.....and will always be......I'm sick of these complaints about trance not being the same........does anything stay the same for very long.....and if it did...would you not tire of it?????????????/
every song would sound the same.......
anyways.....things cycle around...........so don't worry chap.......amazing is here (you just can't see it).....and that which [was] that isn't (all though it's still gettin played).....is on the way back........so chill.
peace:p |

Trust me ...I felt the same freaking way when all the anthems were starting to slip into a coma. The thing about music, is that one has got to roll with the changes....no certain styles stay the same..Imagine a band out there who plays and sings like The Beatles from the 60s, they wouldn't make a cent.
This music industry is accompanied inevitably by the pusuit of economic profits. If Breaks is gonna generate more sales in CDs and LPs, more and more peeps would concentrate on making Breaksy tunes. Same goes for trance....it's been in a "Coma" for quite sometime now...in short, passe. What else to do but to move on and listen to those tunes that those acclaimed producers churn out to the public.
Don't be mistaken, that's just the general feel of most people. For a fact, I know that Ferry Corsten is still playing and producing uplifting Epics...let's just pray that the reunion of Ferry and Tiesto as Gouryella will being life back to Trance, after all, it's been donkey years, don't ya think?
Love it or leave it, we are all bounded by popularity of the masses, that's life....but no music will ever give me the same kind of satisfaction that Trance has....till this day....we can only hope and pray for better productions....or get into productions ourselves...
Arr....too much wine now....ok....I am hitting the brakes!
Laterz!
On that note: Go download "Blank & Jones - After Love (Signum Remix) and blast it now! You'll see the light for sure.... |

man the real trance was 1998-1999 and 2000. Naturally the trance style have changed a lot with the beginning of pure producers and dj's. Poeple think that trance looks like the producer like:
cosmic gates
darude
warp brothers
All that people that still think that this and i mean is a kind of trance style, you probably have to stay in clubs because you're still some clubbers.
But in 2001, the trance is still alive but looks like a thin line between trance and progressive house like:
james holden - horizons
jan johnston - flesh
tiesto - urban train
This was my opinion and i think we have to create an tranceaddict forum for people who really know what is trance music without always reading some topics by clubbers.
DARUDE - COSMIC GATES who still doing dance with their computers. |
