I like both.
Radiohead does get a little depressing, but it's still good music. And there aren't many bands that can combine musique concrète with their work and still have it sound good.
Coldplay - chilled-out music with a nice creative touch. Plus they never seem to have consecutive hit songs in the same key, like a lot of the garbage in the rock genre today.
Besides, you can't really compare the two... Radiohead's sound gets quite frantic at times... a better band to compare them to would be Pilate (because the singers sound so alike). As for Coldplay, I heard someone mention Counting Crows, and minus Adam's incredibly dull voice, I could sort of agree with you there. But a better comparison would be Keane. |

radiohead all the way, most of coldplay's new album is formulaic and generic, compared to their first cd, which was raw and NEW, and fresh.
radiohead constantly reinvents themselves, whereas coldplay follows the same formula.
