Where to download essential mixes?

| Can someone help me out with where to download some of the essential mixes and if any exta info on how to that would be awesome! |

can't download off there anymore....at least not unless you know what you're doing or are gonna streamrip. |

can't you just get a plug for winamp to rip it?
On the old comp I've got one that didn't really care what kind of stream it was, any sound that was going through your speakers was being recorded. Including the nasty MSN message sounds. |

No. The file isn't streamed - so a streamrip doesn't work. |

I was trying to save the original file from the URL from the .m3u file (http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...%22essential%22 , for instance), but it sends me to the winamp FAQ :crazy: lol..
Does anyone know how to save these mixes? I wanna put some on my iPod for my vacation! :rolleyes: |

yeah the dude re-wrote his page to prevent downloads of that type after people off this board starting mass-downloading off him. I have not had the time to figure out a new way of doing it, but even if I do, I will not be sharing my method on this board for fear of him re-writing the page again. |

Works fine for me, I can still download mp3's. If they're streamable in Winamp, they're downloadable, no two ways about it. |

Streaming (shoutcast) is very different from a port 80 file transfer. |

you can still download the essential mixes from that site.
Here is how:
Stream the file and click on the scrolling title bar in winamp and get the address. STOP THE STREAM put the address into your browser and hit enter. VOILA. the essential mix is downloading |
