It's all in your head, if u keep thinking "trance is dead or dying" then you'll be expecting ty choons and that's what you'll get.

thats why NEW ( good  ) stuff is always the best. When you hear something new for you, and you Like it, you'll never forget it.
Examples: type of music, type of movie, 1st day in ________(whatever), 1st fxck (especially the ladies), & on & on (pun intended)

Stuff was always better in the past. Always. Every music, film, game and TV forum or discussion always has people saying "stuff was better in those days". The important thing is there is still more good stuff out there than you will ever have time to find, and what year it was made in is irrelevant.

i agree with what you said 100%

i think all music is dead. Its not the same so there is no point in listening to it.

You gotta remember that when you look back on things you often only remember the best things, and then the very worste thing too. But since the better things are in the majority over the ty things they stay in your mind more. Personally I think trance is just as good as it's ever been and no it's not dying and it never will. Look back to the golden 1998-99 years everyone goes on about in detail and you'll find a tonne of e released then too. You'll also of course find the gems we all love today. Sometimes you cant see the wood for the trees. Move past the tunes you aint liking at the moment and you'll find some ball tingling, stomach churning masterpieces you'll love too!

Same old sob story. I had mine too.

My solution was to dig backwards. There's so much class production from the early 90s. Emotion, drive, and brilliance can be found in trance back to 1992. Unfortunately, it becomes increasingly difficult to obtain such music the further you go back. Digital media for older work is hard to come by, and one is reluctant to pay for a physical copy without knowing what it sounds like, especially on the short budgets of young adults.

Some days are gone, and it's terrible and tragic. I'm not sure if the 'Twilo era' will ever come around again in any form. The mother sounds of trance and progressive trance seems lost in limbo between its disparate and self-important heirs. But if it does rise again, I'll sure be there for it.

Tech-trance is perhaps the only avenue right now that I think has momentum to carry trance across the void. I thought it was about to keel over as a challenge to epic once the 2003 revolution failed to materialize and Marco V drifted toward housier sounds. Then Sam Sharp came along and changed all that; in fact, I think he's probably done more for trance in the past year than anyone else.

Keep your ears open to the past and future.

Yeah you won't find much Trance on CD before 1993.

the solution is to stop listening to Armin`s new ch00n and try investigating to other types of EDM, there is ALOT in the progressive/techno/goa/breaks etc. to keep you busy..

It's hard not to miss the old days. It's so refreshing to throw on Oakenfold's Tranceport every now and then, though.
