WOW what a crazy night!!! got there at around 12:10 to find myself surrounded by a bunch of guidos :nervous: and Tony Draper spinnning (figures)... anyway i was looking around and i found that they had set up the stage and made it a DJ Booth :D anyway Blank & Jones came on at 1:30 and i was pleasantly surprised to find how good they are!!! but 2 minutes after they started some ing spilled his whole beer on my pants and i was soaked, he didn't even apologize   . Anyway they ripped it right from the beginning and never stopped, they played so many good tracks and their mixing was pretty good.
Highlights of their set:
Paul van Dyk - The Other Side (Martin Roth Remix)
Tiesto - Adagio for Strings
Blank & Jones - Mind of the Wonderful (Club Mix)
The Killers - Mr. Brightside (Blank & Jones Remix)
Blank & Jones - Perfect Silence (??? Mix)
Reflekt - Need to feel Loved (??? Mix)
Eric Prydz - Call on Me (Brutus & Nero Remix)
plus many more......

Then Eddie Halliwell came on right after them and he ing killed it like usual!!! he plays so hard and he spins so many good ing tracks, i couldn't believe how loud avalon could get :eyes: :eyes: he is such an amazing mixer, he was in with everyone's head!! at the middle of his build up he would stop the track and yelled COME ON, WHAT!!! just to get people hyped up then dropped a massive bassline and everybody was jumpin   he never dissapoints :D :D

anyway i can't remember any of his tracks since i left at 5:10 and am now here at work  except for a couple amazing tracks from 1999 that oakey used to play!! it was mindblowing

i saw 2 TA's: LordQuinnTrance and Seantya's (i think that's his name)
i thought more of you would come out to see halliwell, you guys really missed out on a great performance

o well i will post up pics later when i get home :)

PvDOBseSSioN I was there too. There were a few TA's there. But as for the night...what can I say. We stayed until Eddie came off. WHAT A SET!!!!! IMO it was one of the finest live sets I ever heard. I really dont like B&J but they dropped Adagio for Strings Ferry's rerub and it was good. But EDDIE ING HALLIWELL just melted the dance floor. He just went harder and faster. Like a maniac he was dashing from one turntable to another (no wonder he was spinning across 3 decks with another deck used for scratch). And how can anyone forget his infamous scratching technique. I mean its one thing to scratch in hip hop but this is hard dance/techno with bpms going through the roof and he would scratch for minutes at a time with a machine precision. Thats a talent. I got my cd signed by him and he came out to the crowd after the set to shake hands.

Still cant wipe the smile off my face.

Some of the tracks I remember were DK8 "Murder Was the Bass" and I think 3 Grooves On Vinyl "Greece 2xxx" crazy remix. Otherwise he would spin 2-3 tracks at the same time by looping, scratching, rewinding, cutting, etc.

Whoever did not go missed a show. That was the best $25 I've spent in a long time.

PS Apperently it was a "spilling" night. Girls around us spilled 4 drinks on me, my friends and peeps around us. The guy with mop hated our spot.

ANYWAY PEACE!!!!!

EDDIE IS GOD!!!:disbelief
