oh and nice sig nchs09... I remember back when I used to work for UUNet we had some idiot mailing the abuse list complaining that our nameservers were port scanning him on UDP/53. haha. |

Was talking about what you have in your signature about some dude posting his firewall logs claiming TA was hacking him... Was comparing that to a situation I had where someone thought our nameserver was hacking him, when in fact it was just replying to his queries on UDP/53 as per what normally happens.
No worries, I'm just talking geek speak. :) |

ya i know. wut im saying is that im a comp n00b. all i know is TA, AIM, MSN, WORD.

Recent military policy has determined that peer to peer file sharing, and the free distribution of music is a violation of intellectual property. Our Honor Code which states that "We will not lie, steal, or cheat nor tolerate among us anyone who does." considers unpaid for intellectual property stealing. Breaking the Honor Code most likely results in disenrollment. While I do not disagree with this recent clarification, I am concerned on the status of some of the mp3's I have downloaded from your site. I assume that the music you are distributing has the permission of the artist and does not violate any copyright laws. If I am wrong, I need to know. I currently have about 20 songs downloaded from your site and while I would like to keep them if possible, I would also like to do the right thing. I hope that you trust that I am not in any way trying to expose you or get you in trouble, which!
is unlikely since civilian law has not yet come to a conclusion on the issue. I love your site though, and I think you are doing a great thing spreading techno. Thanks for your help. |
