Well, that was because he was to proud, he wounldn't take no for an answer, his beliefs that the germanian race was superiour clouded his judgement.
Non the less a brilliant man who stoud up for what he believed, I just don't agree with what he believed in.
Same goes for Bin Laden. |
:haha: germanian race |

I think what got me was the sentence that begins "Your back was only turned for a minute..."
Or...
"When not highly sought-after, she spends her time being widely respected." |

no, it makes you a great leader.
german people are pretty smart, kinda like a cat, its hard to tame a cat.
now calling george bush a great leader is wrong, because people in the US, a majority are stupid... sorta like dogs... stupid dogs. |
poor generalisation, no? a lot of people from a lot of places are pretty smart..
george bush is a terrible leader whom is kept doped up on antidepressants and fed lies by a slew of political whores. if you had to give any kudos, it would be to the adaptation of Goebbel's propaganda methods into the new 'American Century'.
you live under a fascist regime, poorly represented as democracy. |

Yea, but those fell quickly and easily.
He was stupid for breaking his alliance with Stalin and attacking the Soviets before he had taken control of the UK.
If he would have grabbed the UK the war would have been lost for the allies.
Also he should have told the Japanese not to attack Perl Harbor but to sweep north through Mongolia and into the eastern Soviet Union and pushed west untill the Germans and the Japanese had the russians pinched.
Instead he was stupid and started a war on two fronts which is the dumbest thing someone can do besides starting a war altogether. |
Agreed re: Barbarosa. He should have launched and completed Sea Lion before invading the USSR. He even said in Mein Kampf that it would be suicide to be at war with both the UK and the USSR at the same time. His affinities for the UK and the Anglos as being "human" as opposed to the Slavs being "sub-human" really hurt him in this respect.
With regard to the Japanese, Hitler did ask them repeatedly to maintain preasure on the Soviet Union by way of the Manchurian boarder. Japan did not grant his request and instead turned their eyes to south east Asia. There is no clear record as to whether the Japanese did not listen due to the rampent Japanese supiriority complex that would not allow them to take direction from an outsider or simply because they felt the oil and rubber resources in South East Asia were of a greater importance then the desolation of eastern Soviet Union. Either way, their retreat from the Manchurian boarder freed up the Soviet elite forces and tank brigades which eventually resulted in Hitler's defeat at Stalingrad.
With regard to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, anyone who states they should not have made this attack does not understand the situation they were facing or military strategy. It was only a question of time before Roseveldt convinced the US congress to declare war. The Japanese knew that they could not compete with the US industrial capacity and that their resources were running low. They needed to secure south east Asia prior to the US mounting an offensive against them. Since the entire US fleet was docked in one spot the attack had potential to delay the US's ability to mount an attack by at least 2 years (if they took out the aircraft carriers and battleships). Unfortunately for the Japanese the aircraft carriers were not in harbor that day, had they been it is quite likely that Japan would have succeeded in taking all of south east Asia and Hawaii. Had they taken Hawaii the US would have been hard pressed to fight them as it would have required them maintaining supply lines from the west coast to ships half way across the ocean. |
