"MORE AID FOR AFRICA"
Great! Way to protest blindly because it's the cool and hip thing to do these days! |
I know.
I agree wholeheartedly with the article.
Its crazy when you think about it what ppl DO believe on a mass scale....
my eyes were similarly opened to such possibilities after reading STATE OF FEAR by Michael Crichton... haven't had time to research on my own the issues faced and discussed in that novel, but the thought is shocking! i am curious to research the matters myself to see what information I come across. the bibliography is very extensive, and citess many many sources and reference material.
Its almost unimaginable how we, on a massive scale, can have blinders over our eyes -- that what we take to be universal, indisputable truths are in fact not!! (and in some cases completely ass-backwards!)

| foreign aid is only a lil bandaid on a deep wound. in order for a country to develop it needs capita. that is it needs people with alot of money already that have intrest in developing the country. capita develops country not foreign aid. remember the government never built the railway in canada. |

| I wish I could go just to like, see first hand the stuff that's going on... I feel bad talking about it sorta like I know something and not actually beign there to know if it's real, y'know? I mean, i know it's pretty real and all, but it'd be good to be reassured... |

Thank you for posting this article!
Its kinda ironic I knew aabout this whole situation in Africa already. I've been reading a lot about the situation on the continent. I know that the problem is within the African system, and that they need to help themselves out first, and then we can help them. I wont get into the details, too much to talk about ...
Man people disagree with me when I say that Africa needs to improve itself first before any money is given to help them. They need to show us that they are actually showing progress and working hard to earn our help.
African governments need to open up their eyes and start caring for their people. |

| it's too bad that people think they're helping, when in fact they're contributing to the problem...it just seems like the poverty over there will never end, but that could just be me being negative. i dunno! |

Way to stick it to them. I think that its time that we let africa pull up their own socks. Oh and debt relief is the same as sending money to corrupt regimes. It will do nothing for the people. |
In what sense? If they do get a significant increase in GDP, these creditors would come knocking on thier doors. Yes debt relief isn't enough, they need worldwide supervision to help rebuild their infastructures with whatever money they can potentially earn given the right resources.
