The Gallery offers a classic line-up on Friday 15th July, reflecting its devotion to the trance sound which has served the club so well over the past decade. Over this heady period, The Gallery has maintained its position as one of the UK’s most important weekly clubs and this in large is down to DJs who have stayed loyal to the club, returning to play as often as they can. This week, The Gallery gives you two such examples – Judge Jules and Christopher Lawrence.
Judge Jules is one of only a few DJs who can lay claim to have played at The Gallery for 10 years. His own success has almost mirrored that of The Gallery’s and with his Radio 1 show still topping the ratings and his own weekly Ibiza session (Judgement Sunday’s) still very much doing the business on the white isle, Jules remains one of the most important people in the dance world. Christopher Lawrence is a bit like the US version of Jules. Currently sitting at No.7 in DJ Magazine’s prestigious ‘Top 100’ and recently voted ‘Best DJ’ at the Dancestar US Awards, Christopher is widely regarded as America’s leading trance DJ/Producer. His new track ‘Attention’ (with John Fleming) has been getting caned by the likes of Oakenfold, Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren and his much anticipated return to The Gallery looks set to have ‘em queuing up round the block. Fellow trance heads, Signum and John Askew also join this fierce line-up with Gary Ramsden claiming the night’s warm up slot.
On a totally different level, Deepgroove and Mixmag present a night of madness as the Play hordes descend upon The Gallery and transform T2 into a zone of serious wrongness!! With the incredible D Ramirez making a special guest appearance, together with Bristol rockers Deepgroove, James Mowbray and Mixmag DJ competition winner Chris Rayner, this backroom adventure will feature the best twisted disco music in the world, a full troupe of nutters and enough props and toys keep the most attention deficient of punter amused all night long. There are also some stunning prizes up for grabs for the most ludicrous head attire!!

that would be a good line-up if 1: jules wasnt on it & 2: Christopher Lawrence wasnt on it.
Saying that, If I stayed anywhere near the gallery i would be there everytime askew was playing, until I got really bored of seeing him. |
