well, i had a $100 bill and needed to break it down just in case the movie theater didn't have the change. So i went to this place called Barnes and Nobles and looked for an expensive book. I'm generally interested in the ideas of the DaVinci Code so i bought this unauthorized guide for 21.95 plus tax.
btw, i went to the movies and they gave me change for a $50. i liked war of the worlds.
So i went home and started reading it. very interesting.
i'm almost done with it (2nd chapter) and it's got me hooked, except i have to make time for the simpsons in a few hours.
It's got some very surprising ideas with scriptures and text messages to back them up.
Jesus being married, since most jew pastors were "required" to be married. His wife being a former prostitute who followed him around after being cast away from 7 demons (7 being some sexual number). Oh ya, and she's black and beautiful. and then they have a daughter, who is documented to have existed and been some kind of princess in france.
the more and more i read about it, the more i think that jesus did exist, but not the powerful Gandalf he is scriptured to be in the bible.
he just seems this humble guy who led the whole God movement, married, had a child, later crucified and then SOMEHOW ressurrected himself into the hearts of readers everywhere.
don't spoil the movie for me, but can anyone tell me of some other intersting facts about Mary Magdelene, DaVinci's connection and documtented scriptures?
Does the pope have a website responding to The DaVinci Code theory? |

What's the title and author of the guide? Sounds interesting I might look into it.
I loved the DaVinci Code, even though it's fiction based on both facts and theories; however, kept me thinking and wondering 'what if' throughout. |

Secrets of the Code- The Unauthorized Guide to the Mysteries Behind the DaVinci Cide
Dan Burstein
One thing interesting i remember reading in Time Magazines DaVinci Code Guide is the picture of The Last Supper. Looks boring right? WAIT! Something i never pondered until i read this magazine was that woman beside jesus. Seems it REALLY might be a woman, this Mary Magdelene. And one thing else is that some guy, presumably peter is scoffing at this character. and the V you can draw between Jesus and this woman signifies some kind of feminine sign, since a V looks like a womans pleasuredome.
FACT OR FICTION OR SCIENTOLOGY |

as good as the code was, the author aint all that.
after reading angels & demons you see the plot is really predictable.
same with his first 2 novels deception point and digital fortress.
dan brown is owned. |

if you really want some food for thought about Mary Magdalene, Jesus, Holy Grail and Templar Order, consider reading Umberto Eco - Foucault's Pendulum (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...1334076-7336826)
be aware though, that if Dan Brown's book is really a popcorn reading (for an average dummie), Eco's book is very intellect-demanding and difficult to read. it's ing genious, tho.
also, another very good book by him on theological issues is "The Postmodern Bible Reader" (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...=glance&s=books)
basically, any work by dr. Eco (he's a professor at the university of Bologna) is a work of genious! |

And I learned all about the Last Supper and its secrets in Art 102... pretty interesting. |

alrite, i'm halfway into chapter 1. Seems that Jesus might have pulled a Don King and fixed his crucifixtion. I did some research into the company that made the special effects of Passion of the Christ and it seems kind of odd that Jesus would be "walk around the rest of my life spit on And kicked and hit with , every time i sung Like r kelly as soon as bump n' grind comes on", and then stage his death by being drugged up on PCP or whatever kind of drugs ravers had during the crucifixtion. Then they replace his body with some guy and he secretly moves himself (and his family) to safety where they can have a regular relationship without the judgement of his disciples.
that really puts a spin on religion. anyways, i felt like making plans on going to the library to see this Holy Blood, Holy Grail that the book keeps refering too. but i have overdue books. |
