| I don't turn 21 until next May... looks like I won't be going to one of the upcoming Indy events anytime soon. I thought other people under 21 would've not got in either, but it looks like I'm the only one. Any luck on that refund? After throwing the Addiction party I realize the money's tight, but being a college kid I'd really appreciate it. |

Seth & Mack, great set. I agree with mostly everyone in that Liquid Todd sucked ass. Hernan was amazing. Oakie's mixing wasn't great but that was to be expected. He still plays good music at least.
I really liked the venue. My only problem was how people were on the dance floor. It was difficult to dance for 2 minutes without someone unapologetically bumping into me to make it towards the front, slamming into me while dancing, or smashing me against a platform to make more room for themselves. It could have been just me but it kept happening to me all throughout the night. This is the only place I've been where I felt frustrated on the dance floor. |

Anyways, yeah I hear ya, it was pretty crowded in there and there were some rude people in the bunch, but overall I thought it was a good crowd. I think there was a good chunk of 'messed up' people carelessly flying around the place.
take the good with the bad. I think the Fortier crowd next week will be a much more professional and courteous about that kind of stuff. |

Seth, the numbers thing (+1 or +1,000,000) is something here on tranceaddict that means you agree with what everyone else is saying. Don't worry, I don't get it either.
I felt like there should have been some sort of aisle way(s) for people to move to and fro instead of just plowing your way through the crowd. I really have no problem with 2 guys grinding or kissing , but I could have done with out them pushing and rubbing against me with no shirts on.
Here is something funny. I saw one of my friends who went to the show yesterday and he didn't think Oakenfold ever came on. He said he never saw them switch and he never saw Oakenfold's name on the screens so he didn't think he ever played. Just more evidence that there needs to be a light on the DJ booth.
Seth, any chance you have a tracklist for your Mack's set. I heard a couple tunes I really liked but didn't know. |

Yeah it took me a second to realize that Oakie had come on. All I could see was fog and a silhouette. |

Well I know the booth was better lit during Hernan's set vs Oakie's set. I think Oakie requested it be darker, but I'm not positive. I do know it was a little better illuminated for Hernan's set.
But I think I've already said 2 TIMES NOW (in this thread) that there WILL BE a LIGHT on the DJ for the next show :toocool: :)
Yeah we can toss out some track titles of what we played...do you know what time generally the tracks were played?
We don't have a TL in order but we might be able to figure it out |

anyways, seriously, it was a great show. let's give Seth a break. come on oakenfold and hernan in indy?? i know i made a few suggestions as well but enough complaining already. (and i hope you all know i mean that in the not-trying-to-be-mean, friendliest way possible) :D

Seth man, I'm not bashing the show or the lighting or anything, I'm just talking. I have much respect for you and your promotion company for bringing the big boys to Indy. This is a forum just to talk and converse with people who share the same interest in the music. I'm just happy we have such a great show to talk about with out having to drive hours to get there.
You keep the shows coming to Indy, and we'll keep attending them and talking about them. |
