| is there really chessy techno? as in techno the genre. cos all the techno Djs seem to be up their own ass about their surperior music taste. |

please inform the person that she's not listening to techno, so that she won't be dissapointed if she's in the record store buying a jeff mills cd, while expecting brooklyn bounce.
but i would say.. dream dance, future trance, tunnel trance force, dj networkx should fit in the category. also add the smurf hits and hitz for kidz series. and anything scooter :) |

His Manu Chao remake alone is enough for years and years of being regarded as cheesy.
Same goes for Tube Tech with their utterly despicable rework of The Doors. In case you haven't heard it, consider yourself a blessed man. |

I think there's a lot of "cheese" in the actual techno genre, but we have to keep in mind that a "cheese" category is rather subjective. But it's another kind of cheese, say, Swedish cheese. :p
For example, the melody of Umek-Gatex is pretty cheesy in my books. I still love it, but I consider it as being quite cheesy. (oh and I know that Umek is not Swedish, don't mess up my analogy. :p). |

I'd love to find the guy responsible for these schranz remakes. They are an embarrasment to the word techno.
