I will for sure...I don't go out much here in Windsor since the bars suck and all. We usually just chill at friend's houses or have little houses parties so we can listen to GOOD music. The only time I really go downtown is if I get REALLY hammered, b/c then I don't care AS MUCH about the music.
I'm pretty busy this summer too though...working 6 days a week...and then in the middle of August I'm going to be on vacation until Labour of Love...which they will be having! I'm going to be coming back from my vacation that morning, and taking a train to Toronto (HOPEFULLY!) that afternoon to make it up. |

Definitely start a roll call thread, this event is less than a week away. Maciej, you can do this, just put all the event info in your post and be sure to check back frequently and update your first post with those who are going to come. :) |

I'll definatly go check it out. I haven't been there for awhile...nor have I seen KT for awhile! He's a wicked DJ...you're right we have the same taste. I started a Kenneth Thomas Appretiate thread a lil while back actually in the Detoit forums...but for some reason only like 3 ppl responded!!

two months till i'm back in windsor...
i like wild orchid i actualy go there as often as i possibly can ...
velvet closed from wot i heard....
ian still spins at orchid... abdul i think the same ... but i know hes moving to tdot in sept so he will be greatly missed.. jimmy g is the only one who still will play some sort of house or trance.. in the windsor area.. i over heard something about him being the local dj for the new blast in fall under new management and all on switch nites but then again if thats gona happen who knows... everything seems to change day to day...
but ya come sept you'll be seeing me at wild on tuseday nites.. |

Yea I stopped going to Velvet a few months ago...it closed like back in December or something, but then my friend Jona started DJing there when Kosta (from downstairs) bought it. But then Jona quit a couple months back, and I quit going...haven't been there since.
Didn't know Blast was reopening though...I kept hearing rumours but I wasn't sure. I hope it does though...b/c I loved going there to dance once in awhile...and they brought in decent DJs.
The only thing I don't like about Wild Orchid is just how small it is. I don't even care that drinks are expensive, b/c I usually don't drink there. But you can't really dance. Ppl are mingling and dancing all on the dance floor...it's like they're confused or something. It's alright though, I go on occassion to listen to the good beats. |

that mostly happens when mark oliver comes down.... every other djs that has been there its not been like that... i've never seen the floor packed for KT... m&s yes it was but no more then an hour.. then it died down to a good vibe.... addy.. no... honey.... i heared it was packed but still not too bad..
i'm not much of a housey person so therefore i dont dance at orchid i'll just chill with the ppl i meet and thats my relaxing time.. |

| Wow, it may not be much of a scene but it's cool to see how well you both know it!!! I could never say that for even a fraction of the scene in Toronto! :( And Lisa, you know the Toronto scene very well, too...talking about AVB at the Guv 'n in '04!!! :p |
