| M-Bar is a nice place, but I don't think it's that great to host bigger name djs. Of course, M-Bar doesn't always get utilized to its best potential. Matra is probably worse and has much less potential. All this IMO. |

went there for Max Graham... I like the venue better than Mbar, although it seems to attract more julios for clientel than mbar. WHen I first got theer for max graham I wondered for a while if I was at the right place since all I could hear was the crap rap playing on the first floor. Its alright.. I could compare it to the upstairs of Sky Lounge |

| It has been confirmed. It will be for the August 19th at Mantra. Mantra reminds me of Vue in Austin. Gabriel and Dresden tore the roof off in Austin. I am looking forward to the show. See you all there. |

What's the deal with this price ? Could you really buy the tix for that ?
Anyway, I can't exactly remember where the downstairs dj booth is. It certainly did not stand out. World class djs should get a little better treatment than some typical Houston club not set up for a nice dj/audience interaction. I wasn't there for Max Graham, but the times I've been there, it was that typical Houston crowd - with no clue about the music.
Don't get me wrong, my wife and I will be thrilled to see them again. It's just that I wish we could do better for them than Mantra. |
