How bizarre it'll be in 30 years

In the hippie days, that music was entirely different from the music that reigned the community before. People came together at festivals dressed up in unconventional clothes with flowers in their hair. Back then that was pretty much what dance may be now.....soo I was thinking.....When you watch TV and a commercial is on that sells hippie music ya think "strange people back then" and music has moved on.
So 30 years from now, we're gonna be those old geezers, and our kids are gonna watch a tv-commercial (tv or a newer medium?) that sells trance compilations. They will be like "progressive trance...hey dad did you like that too back in the dayz?" "haha old music"
Bizarre innit? |

| HOnestly, i never try to look to far into the future, who knows any of us may not be around in a year, let alone 30 yrs. But i would be 50.5 in 30 yrs and i would like to be retired with enormous wealth, would i be still clubbing........????, who knows. How many genres would we have. I like thinking what do i want to become and what do i want my legacy to be?. |

| It would be cool to make some sort of progression analysis to see how long the trance era will last :) |

HEHEHE and then walk around on the streets carrying a sign that says "TRANCE WILL DIE 8TH DECEMBER 2012"
Nah trance won't die...none of the other old "new" styles have died...they have evolved. When the beatles came with their stuff that was hot and new, and it kinda progressed into modern pop/rock. And techno now sounds pretty damn different than techno in the 80's!
I'm just so curious as to how it will evolve further....can you imagine a new style? |

So true, im not sure that listening to trance sets nonstop at like 120 dB is good for your ears! But im still gonna do it!

I think youre comparing two totally different things.. maybe not, music and car, but in MN techno in general is NOT mainstream.. maybe if i had a charger and blasted like.. i dont know, some unknown non-maintstream band that is amazIng... its kinda more like that :stongue:
i still think it would be hilarious
BTW, i would respect any dad driving a Charger at the performance level of a GT-R. |
