Day clubs should defintely be stopped, people i know dj at PHD and i quote," The harder we play the music the harder and more people dance," he then went on to tell me that one of the dj's even plays all the way up to 154bpm.... i mean what the !!!!
Anyone trying to keep up with that mash of beat and sound would have to be as drug filled as possible... i mean 154 bpm thats just ridiculous, and he then said if they had choons that could go faster then they'd probably play them,
And another thing it starts at 7am till 5pm you should be asleep or chillin out in recovery to some nice prog trance or something at that time not pushin even harder, The HARD dance seen is causing way too many problems... no offence guys (to those who like it) but it just seems to attract the of the dance seen and society! |
Just because PHD has a 'bad rep' doesn't mean all other 'day' clubs should go down with it. Might not be 'prog trance' but Revolver, 161, Evo are some good day clubs - catering for those who like house-electro-hard trance -(NOT happy hardcore head-doing music).
Obviously not everyone's cup of tea, especially from this site i'd imagine. If someone wants to keep on partying, then so be it - whether it be at a club or someone's house. Those heroes who overdue it and abuse their bodies more than they can handle obviously don't know when to stop. They then suffer the consuquences and give everyone else, who genuinly love their music and want to continue partying, a bad name. :whip: |

No you don't god dammit! I know you are generalising and perhaps for a large percentage this is true, but there are people out there that listen to this stuff not only during a party night but also any other time during their lives. I listen to that stuff in my car, when i'm at work and pretty much any time i'm listening to electronic music.
Not having a go at anyone, and I really don't want to turn this into another hard vs trance argument, but there -are- some people out there who genuinely enjoy this type of music and go to PHD to listen to it rather than just to push themselves too hard, even if they may be in the minority. |

| I don't really think you can blame the clubs or the dj's. People need to take responsibility for their own actions....yes Trev even you ;) |

I feel really sorry for that girl, ODing on what looked like water. What a tragic accident.
The fact that this news article is being published now, when the event occurred in February strikes me as a slight coincidence with the Government's new "You don't know what it'll do to you" Ads on TV.
Those Ads, they give me the s. Because the government should be funding research and education campaigns, instead of scare-tactic ads.
I mean come on. "Marijuana - you don't know what it'll do to you". Why? Because it's illegal, governments won't fund long-term research into it. (I'm guessing - probably there is some govt. funded dope research out there). If research was done and people educated in its use and side effects, there wouldn't be a 'drug problem'. Well not as much anyway.
The real message is with speed + e, you don't know what's in them because they're being made in unregulated laboritories. But this very danger is a consequence of these drugs being illegal. Bring them above-board, regulate the safety standards and do some frikking research on the side effects. That's what governments are for, looking after the population's health - not scare tactics!
Argh, when will the government ever be truly representative of people instead of a bunch of fascist homophobes? Therein lies the danger of democracy, the government only represents the majority of people, leaving anybody who leads a non-average life out in the cold. |

Agreed! Imo the other problem with these sort of ads and the whole scare tactic approach is that they cause ppl to take no notice of them becasue they promote so much rubbish.
If they came out and said "Well guys, e isn't good for you but if it's properly made and taken in correct dose the dangers can be minimized, however......" More ppl would be inclined to listen to the "however" that follows on. It would also cause ppl to take them seriously when they warn of truly nasty like ghb and maybe save some lives.
When you get " YOU WILL DIE! DIE! DIE! ON HALF A PILL, OR YOU WILL KILL EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!!!!! ..you tend to tune out pretty fast. |
