Cracked Laptop Screens & Other Stupid Moves.

So I'm pretty sure I just tried closing the lid to my trusty HP Pavillion without realizing I left my ring on the Keyboard.
One really crunchy sound and a loud sob later, I'm left with a black mark on the center right of my Screen.

Share your 'It sounded like a good idea @ the time' or 'Jesus Christ, did that ever backfire on me' stories here.. Make me feel better about destroying my screen..

ummm lol does the fact that I have Windows ME make you feel any better about your computer mishap??? :conf: *sigh* but that's really too bad about your laptop. :(

oh heres my laptop story...
i was rendering a track on my laptop a few years ago and it was a 450 mhz laptop so it would take an hour or so but i was so sleepy and the base was heating up so i closed it and left it upside down overnight...
well something in it burnt up and i couldnt use it ever again...managed to salvage all data from the HD tho.. |

I'm buying another HP (DV4030.. Soooooo sweet) soon.. I guess this just sped up my resolve.
Windows ME?! Good lord, Hun. That's a crime against technology to be using that. :'( |

Oh tell me about it. I've had it for years now and I NEED to upgrade! I feel sorry for myself lol. But I figure, why bother upgrading when I will probably be moving out soon without the computer. I'll get myself a new computer when I can afford it, and if anyone suggests I get Windows ME, I will strangle them!!!!!:whip:

And that's cool about the new HP. lol I have no clue what it looks like, but I'm sure its awesome!

Behold my future conquest.
Mine's been lagging out BIG time lately.. I'm going to Jack this one SO full of RAM it'll be stupid.
I was working on two remixes a week ago, and this little brat couldn't even handle all the samples, even when they were rendered. I had to put my Ferry Corsten remix *and* Tygon's remix on hold 'till I get more juice to move.
I've got two 250G drives on the way as well as a new M-Audio USB preamp.. So my life's about to get easier. :D |

hehehe, We'll see. Women like to take advantage of my good nature, though I have yet to shell out for a Laptop.
Who knows what I'm capable of though. hahaha
But yeah, I find it Ironic how I'm buying this from Future Shop and I work for the Source by Circuit City. Despite what we were told, we didn't place buy orders on close to ANY HP notebooks, and I'm pissed..
