Clubs in T.O. not playing TRANCE!

I'm so mad and sad with all this bull clubs music that I have to deal with whenever I go out. If its not Hip Hop its going to be R&B, and then top 40 and then reggae and the list goes on and on.
I am really pissed about this.
There is a couple of places like Inside on Friday Night, LIFE, Systems SoundBar and a couple of more, but the music they play is NOT TRANCE. Its more like House, Deep House and staff like that. Rarely they play a couple of Trance songs. urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
One place that I like is Roxy Blue, just cause they have those bongos in there and it makes a nice atmosphere.
It has been my dream for a club(not a rave) in Toronto to play trance all NIGHT. I mean it so commercial it aint funny. I wish I can do something about it.
Anyways thats my pain and I just wanted to let you guys know how I feel.

| Hey Peekster, you're right on as far as I'm concerned. That's why most TA's look for special events so we can actually hear some trance. Area 51 is supposed to be trance on Friday nights now, but I haven't checked it out yet, though I plan to. Other than that I can't help you. I'm actually trying to find a good club to go to tonight but doubt I'll find decent tunes anywhere. If anyone's got good suggestions for a regular Saturday night let me know. |

| Arctic boy....I see that you're in Hamilton. I am in Hamilton also, I go to Mac. Is there anywhere in Hamilton that has a Trance night? I heard that new place called Home has djs come but I've never checked it out or seen if there are any good trance nights. I have also never checked out fever...is that any good? Oh well, at least we are close enough to TO to check out the parties there but it would be nice to hear some good trance instead of going to the same old lame ass nights at the campus bar.:eyes: Or have to go to Toronto every time I wanna hear some good trance. |

Oh guys, I've been to Area 51, on Saturday though, you cannot call it a club, it is basement in the old building. No girls, just bunch of Punks with green, pink, yeloow, blue hair jumping around, and some dj is playing music from the cd player, one after another without mixing anything.I ve been in the club for 20 min, and left to Guv. That was ty, i dunno how about fridays but saturdays it is cold, punk club. Music was not bad though, but i can mix like that at home, on my comp....
Check it on fridays, i doubt i will go there again. |

Fri. nites at Area 51- hosted by the Digital Tangerine/ Electric Orange folks. Great trance til 6am, but it's not a packed club atmosphere. Wish it were. Lots of dancing space though.
Sat. nites.... I hate to say this, but... the Guvernement is your only bet. The music's good, but the crowd.... :( |

Well u know i just got back from GUV, and what do you think, it was pretty damn all right. It wasn't too packed, line up was fast and Oliver was spinning AMAZING TRANCE after 1:45 a.m. Before there were more HOUSY tunes. After 1:45 i started to go nuts. LAZERs, GUVS sound system, and people were not too GINO style. Guvernemnt is getting better damn it, well it much better from when it was 3 month ago....
We'll see, maybe, maybe, theere will be good time. Now i know gotta come there after 1:30, that is gonna be nice...........G-Heads are going to sleep ;) |

| its true that there isn't any trance nights..expect Area 51 on friday nights :) i dont understand why you TA's complain about house musik :rolleyes: for far as i know, i rather be listening to some sick ass deep/progressive house all night, instead of goin to a club full of hip-hop, r&b and watever there is...besides house musik is good, if only u understand it ;) a club needs a vibe of full of energy, and as far i know, house musik brings it along as well :eyes: |

So true Mandrick_v it was nice that night i had a realy good time mark had a good set that sat night. The song Smoke machien by Xpress2 was in crazy I like that song but the alarm thing was abused to much at first it was good but then it got stupid :mad: oh well :D |

I've been saying this about T.O. Clubs for the past 5 years if its not hip hop...its r&b and top 40 crap...i remember when ATB came to
"The other room" like 3 years ago... in the middle of freaking DANCEHALL reggae he came on....spun 9pm, spun don't stop...then the signum remix of 9pm... and then he was gone! and the reggae came back on....very disapointing night. Also look at the "new" EC even though its totally ghetto now...back in the day when monica deol was on and dance was supreme....trance has similarly come back to be the main stream dance somewhat...but its the cheese crap..euro-pop with trance synths. now the main stream hit... DJ Sammy and Yanou - Heaven
i bet half the ppl didn't know who Yanou was...3years ago (Beam and Yanou) finnally it takes a remix of a song and a familular artist...dj sammy. i guess it just pisses me off royally when the better trance artists were there back in the day...and never got the recognition except oakenfold (who in my opinion when while i was listening to tiesto/armin/vincent de moor/corsten/beam&yanou, de leon jamx was ) ..but finnally now. years later they get it...and the clubs are still ghetto. another fine example...Rollergirl ...they get a canadian artist to remix it...her voice is crap...wtf...no-one wants a dutch artist to make it big here? (my frustration with the music scene here still to this day frustrates me. i could type forever... |

Oh man. I went on the website www.flight2000.ca/aboutus.html and it was pretty scary. Gino's everywhere. All over the place. To many punks(as I call them) waiting for you to bump into them so they can start a fight. (HORRIBLE)
Mandrick I havent seen the place, so I cant really say much about it. I never heard anything about any Trance Nights there either. It would be amazing though.
You know a lot of people are saying that there isnt to many of us (TRANCE FREEKS) in order to open a club with just Trance. But you know what they are all wrong. If I only had the money I would open the SICKEST TRANCE CLUB IN TORONTO (decorations it would unbeleivable - like a jungle - with palm trees and staff), and I bet anyone, that it would be packed, jammed, full of love and HIGH NRG. KKKKKKKK!!!!!! I so pissed, I cant take it anymore. I feel like moving to Europe just for the music. I mean is that how terrible Toronto is. In the whole En city almost 3 million people, there isnt not even one place (night Club) that plays Trance ALL NIGHT - DAY AND NIGHT!
COME ON - GET IT TOGETHER T.O.
