| Absolutely amazing. Best festival I have been to. Even tho there were problems with fence jumpers and theiving chavs (which didn't happen to anyone I know) it was the most friendliest festival I have been to in a long time. The location was in beautiful parkland with woods and a lake surrounding the site. The dance areas and campsite were all in the same place so u weren't too far from anything. The music on offer was very diverse ranging from mad gabba to psy trance (the glade has the only outdoor psy trance in the UK) and even tho I am not a fan it was amazing seeing thousands dancing outside going completely mad to it. Breaksday tent was also amazing especially Hybrid and Soul of Man. Loads of people made an effort many dressing up as fairies and pixies (it is a proper hippy fest.) The ID spiral is the best chill out place I have seen especially when lit up at night. Hopefully it will happen again next year as there really isn't anything like it anymore in the UK. There are pics of it on the glade website. |

I've always fancied going to this in the past, but was never able to persuade any mates to go.
Is it over several days? Also where abouts is it held and how much did it cost? |

| Well it was the 15th,16th,17th July the only 3 day dance music festival in the UK. Music starts at midday each day and then goes on til about 2-4am except for Sunday when it finished at 8pm. Some areas were open 24 hours (ID spiral and parlour). There are nine main dance arenas 2 outdoors - Origin stage and liquid chill.) This year it cost £90 which ain't bad at all especially when u consider the effort in the decor and production (blows global gathering out of the water). Hundreds of flags were the icing on the cake especially the projections on them. Its more like a free party then a full on dance festival, however expect security will be better next year. It was held in Wasing Park between Newbury and Reading. |

Kicking, cheers for the info.
One more question. ' Parlour' - is this what I think it is? :p |

haha spelt it wrong. Its a tent but the nicest looking tent u will ever see. It is a 1920's mirror tent which was open 24 hours and sold wicked cocktails. More like a pub than a tent.
Honestly if anyone is into their dance music they must go to the Glade. It really was that good. I didn't go last year but most said it was better in 2004 prob as it was half the size and unknown. Hopefully a new site will mean not too many people know about it. Also the tickets sold out on the first day and that would prob happen next year if it goes ahead. |

| Never been to the Glade fest but the Glade area at Glastonbury is always mint, having the outdoor stage in the midst of the trees makes it look great. They had the ID Spiral and Parlour at Glastonbury this year as well in the new dance village and both were excellent. |
