Paypal.... the solution?

I'm NOT asking for money, or help setting up an account, I already have one. I'd just like to know about other people's experiences with it.

It's seems so practical... I don't have to pay anything, and I can accept major credit card payments and donations on my site. All they do is take a minor cut on each payment. It seems fair, but at the same time, too good to be true. Nowadays it seems like anyone can start a small business with VERY little(maybe none) money on the internet, and grow from there.

Having said that, I'd just like to know: is paypal the professional solution? Is it all I need to do business online?

I know someone here has to have some experience with this thing.

i've been using them for over 4 yrs. now, whether it's to purchase goods through ebay or online stores or send money to friends. u can also elect for an insurance option when u send money which protects u up to $1,000 i believe. i've never had a single problem w/paypal and don't know anyone who has.

4 years, no problems, huh? Sounds very good. I just started mine today, and I'm thinking about using a free domain (like .tk) to showcase work, recruit people for community, and offer other media. And of course, my ebay career has just started. After the free domain, I'll switch to .com (after taking my regular visitors with me, of course!)

I'm aiming for a lot of hits and high SE rankings, but that'll take weeks if I'm lucky. All I have is Flash, Paypal, and Dreamweaver.

that's what i'm banking on. it seems to be a widely spread and acceptable method here on the net.. i can't see how one would lose out by collecting money that was never earned in the first place.

i mean, ask for a dollar, get 75 cents, who cares? :wtf:

Dont these two things contradict each other?

what i mean is, that and checking her email are her primary reasons for using her computer.

It's real good honestly.

Paypal will help you if you have problems too their customer service is great.

A lot of smaller companies who don't operate with ebay run their billing with paypal. It's much easier to get started for smaller structures and seeing it's got such a good reputation and as far as I know no loopholes it's the most trust worthy online money transfer site.

paypal is great nowdays..you could get scammed so easy before..you didnt have to vertify a bank account or anything to recive or send money before..so you could easily say youre selling some , recieve money and dont send anything back..then all you had to do is use up the money or transfer it to another account...and since you didnt put a bank account or anything, the person who sent the money was screwed..

BUT now its really secure.
