Hi Guys,

Iīm working with PsyTrance production, and I have released my first song 2 weeks ago (check www.eletronz.com )...

But my songs lacks of something: very good bass sounding, fat and not muddy - Check some examples below, and an kind of sound (wich I like very much) with pitch changing. I should use an GLIDE function? - check example too...

I want some tips on how to do these sounds... Try to be specific about what should I use (wich VSTs? Wich synths? Samples? Etc...)

Iīm no experencied synth program so I just change some patches trying to get what I want..

Iīm working with Nord Lead 3, but no bass patch give me that SUB6 bass sound...

If you have any patch for Nord Lead 3, or any patch for any VST that can help me, share with us in this forum...

Then here it goes:

1) Very good fat bass (SUB6 - 7th Son):
http://www.eletronz.com/sounds/sub6-7th_son.mp3 (65k)

2) Very good fat and FAST bass (CPU - Positronic):
http://www.eletronz.com/sounds/cpu_positronic.mp3 (51k)

3) Very good fat bass with pitch change (Global Djs - What a Feeling):
http://www.eletronz.com/sounds/glob...t_a_feeling.mp3 (225k)

4) Very nice pitch changing synth effect (Freq - Awaken):
http://www.eletronz.com/sounds/freq-awaken.mp3 (27k)

Iīve used TAU MK2 for my bass, but it isnīt good yet...Maybe I didnīt put "THE RIGHT" effect? Iīll try Albino and Junglist too to see what I will get....

I donīt want to COPY other people sounds, but I want to get an especific sound with are very close to these basses and pitch changing sounds...

Is rebirth any good for a bassline ?;)
luizmenezesjr
Itīs a question or a tip? :) Or a tip in format of a question? hehe...

Anyway, I donīt know if I can use Rebirth as a VST, but I may sample the Rebirth bass and use on a VST sampler...

no you can't use ReBirth as VST but you can use Rewire to rewire it to cubase or something

or you can indeed sample it ;)

I've made some tests with rebirth, but I donīt think itīs better than Tau or Tau Pro...

Maybe I'm not programming it right, but that SUB6/CPU bass sound seems to be made with other VST/Hardware... :(

Seems like this a perfect time to research/learn synth programming :eyes:

Well..

After a long search on Bass sounds I get one that I Like using Albino, but my Nord Lead 3 should do it too...

The secret is put a gap between the notes, and use a 1/32 precision...

You can get good bass sounds from Cosmosis at:
http://www.cosmosis.co.uk

Mine is a tweeked one...

You can listen to the bass at:
http://www.eletronz.com/mp3/eletron...temptations.mp3

Check my other track, that are using Albino too at:
www.eletronz.com

Thanks all for helping me...
