can you imagine trying to shut down every beer company in the US? it would never happen. there is way too much money involved at this point for it to ever be prohibited.
those same reasons you might apply to why hemp, a superior product to cotton, is not in mass production. not a black and white juxtiposition, but i think it's pretty plain.
