Hello Everyone
Im posting this on behalf of a new record label looking for new talent to release. We are a different type of record label ln that we plan on releasing mainly on the internet through websites such as beatport and itunes. We also plan on having a very aggressive advertising program with tv campaigns throughout the uk. We also are trying to set up a tour for our artists so this will be a wonderful way to promote yourself and advance your carrier.
We are looking for artists mainly in the genre's of House , Trance and Breakbeat but if you have anything interesting please send it along and we will be happy to take a look at it.
Please Upload your songs using www.yousendit.com and forward the link to [email protected] |

you got a website? already signed artists? releases?
and commercials on the UK television...is sounds interesting but also extremely unrealistic, i never heard of a label doing that. Im not interested anyway, but for the people who are some more information would be nice. |

| Ha-ha i expected this, Well as for the artists we are still new and are trying to get our name out but we are in talks with artists already established. I cant give names just yet because nothing is 4 sure so far. As for the TV adds many record labels do this, Probably not a good example but one of the ways that lil john got so big was through TV adds spammed all over BET. We already have a budget for advertising coming from our Investors and we are currently talking to C 4 And E4 about the adds. I apologize for the website not being up but we are still getting that designed and we would like to put it up in conjunction with our advertising project and our initial releases. Please feel free to ask any further questions you might have. |

Well, without a site I dont think you'll generate as much interest. Granted, it all sounds very cushty and exciting but we still have no proof that you guys are for real.
As soon as this is proved, I think the tunes will come piling in you're inbox. |

You say it like it's a bad thing. | well, i think its gonna make the marked overflowed.. and as the tracks already are in mp3 format, they will be shared in a instant on p2p..
and, i think its better to be signed to a big record label, where ur tracks get remixes, licensed to compilations etc..
all those digital labels will ruin the scene even more, as it doesnt cost them anything to put a crappy tune for download..
thats the cons, there are alot of pro`s to, but u already know them.. |

| He did say that they would be sending the tunes to iTunes, that means that they wouldnt be in mp3 format. iTunes has their songs in some crazy m4p format that wont work anywhere but their iTunes player, and it has to be authorized for each computer. (I know this because I took advantage of their free iTunes promotion) |

lol...haha like those tunes cant be ripped or something, everything that is audio, can be recorded, and everything that is recorded can be shared on a file sharing program. IMO im getting tired of all these new digital only labels that sign "new talent". New talent will get signed to big labels like somatic, asot, discover and so on....not to shady new mp3 only labels that shoot out of the ground like toads.
And i fully agree with subtle that the marked will overflow with a sjitload of tunes that nobody cares about to buy. And at the other hand, while saying this, why should i even bother as the big labels will keep pressing vinyl and quality tunes anyway and come up with records from REAL new talents. |
