It's not religions that are the problem. There are many people who are faithful yet completely tolerant with other views. Then there are nuts. There always have been, always will be. |

Your an idiot, so you think that US should just stay and watch these extremist nations in the middle east do whatever they want to do, when U.S is the only country in the world that can do something about it. Iraq didnt have direct connections with 9/11 but if U.S didnt go there things would be so much tougher now, with Saddam supporting Al-Queda and letting them cross though Iraq. I think the biggest problem will be when the goverment of all these muslim countries in the middle will support al-quida and these terrorist groups. Then we have a very big problem. |

Saddam ran something much closer to a socialist state than an Islamic state and bin Laden considered him an infidel.
Infact, when Iraq invaded Kuwait bin Laden offered to Saudi Arabia to use his forces he had amassed during the Soviet-Afgan war to help liberate it and defend Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia instead went with the much more capable international colalition headed by the US. This angered bin Laden and set him on his current mission of attacking the US as he felt that they occupied the Holy Land (but you know its probably more an issue of jealusy that anything else).
Saddam actually held a pretty tough stance on terrorism, he didn't like it. Who in control would like it? Its point is to undermine governments and Saddam was all about control control control! Infact there was a wanted terrorist, I think from either Lebanon or Jordan that had done bombings there and was reported to have fled into Iraq. Saddam offered his intelligence to these countries and even went as far as to find him and then eventually kill him in a stand off.
Saddam had no interest in helping terrorists in the region.
This war was Bush mad that Saddam tried to kill his daddy on a business trip to Iraq in the early 90's.

If that is the case then why didnt bush just try to kill saddam though a CIA agent, plan a killing, easy as that. You think bush is that stupid? come on people, this isnt a war for peoples idividual purposes.
edit: he didnt have to sent a whole millitary there. |

Wow, you seem to say, Saddam had no direct connection with Bin laden yet he supported them!...i am missing something here?
For your information dumbhead, MOST countries and especially the vital ones in the middle east support the Western world more than the terrorist...but i bet you know it all..you seem to have a Crystal ball in your room and saw the horror if bush didn't invade Iraq..yup guys, let's listen to this guy from now on!! |

Its illegaly to shoot a dictator just because you dont like him. AMerica would of been in a worse satate now if they did that.
Not to mention the fact his borthers would of just taken his place anyway. |
