Alright…it’s been almost a week, and I guess I should post my review for this amazing weekend.

I arrived at the Guv with the regular crew…Shanny, Nikitha, Chadly84, Cereal3825, and a few others…and after getting 3 drunk s kicked out of the line (woo hoo – 3 less to deal with inside) I walked in to pay my $20 cover (even though it was advertised as $15 after 12!!) just as Shivers came on! What an entrance! Glowstick buying, and bathroom breaks had to be taken care of, but I was getting antsy b/c it was already 12:30 and I had missed the beginning of the TA meetup, so I ran ahead of my friends to see everyone. I was so excited to see all the TAs, I just started jumping on people.

It was great to see the long list of regulars…Cale (so glad you made it, even though you had to leave), Jamie (you're lucky I'm such a nice girl for taking care of your ass all night...haha j/k), Dan, Fahad (we got our pic!), Frankie, Jay, Lars (the ‘coolest girl ever’), Katy, Karim, Spyder, Jenn, Pat, Mike (didn’t even recognize you at first, but atleast this time it wasn’t just a hello/goodbye), walkindude, Nada (I can’t get over how much I love your energy girl), Illya (I told you Tiesto wouldn’t be our last party!), Pett (you remember me!), Linzie, Sean, Cam (my picture lifesaver), Nat, endlesswave, cono_sur and of course Andrea (how many times did I tell you I love the way you dance? Haha Good ear on Darkside of the Moon…I can’t believe we almost missed that!)

It was also great to meet so many other TAs…Trancee, Trancegrooves, Tiesto4Life (finally!), Trickdadde (thanks for taking the pics), Tordan (great to meet you!), Angelina, Jer (I smell TA!), MaxTO, the_broad, Irishaddict (you’re even cuter in person), Danielle, Baki, Khoa, vickyvale, gek0, Liam…any more I’m sorry! And awishabear…you saw me but didn’t say hello? What’s with that?! I don’t want that to happen again!

Anyway…enough with the shout-outs…sorry if I forgot anyone…there were too many ppl there, I didn’t know what to do with myself.
As for the set itself…A&B blew me the away. I knew they’d be good, but holy crap! I’m not even going to begin listing tracks I loved, b/c there’s WAY too many of them. Mark Oliver continued to rape me after that. That was the best I had ever heard him. Hands down…the most solid set I’ve heard all summer! I can’t believe how much fun I had dancing. I was just watching a video from the night…and it almost brought me to tears, I wish I could go back. I know it probably wasn’t, but if that set was recorded…nothing will stop me until I found it.

The energy was great, the people were great, the music was phenomenal, the liquid nitrogen cannons were amazing…just superb. In the words of RJ, that was top-notch!!

Honestly, I think that this was probably one of the best weekends of the entire summer for me. Thanks for everything guys…can’t wait to see you at Labour of Love!

WOULD I NOW, PETT!!?!>!?!

LOL, ya, I remember discussing this with you at some point over the weekend.

My *Mark Oliver moment* of the weekend is still when he overlapped the vocals from Madonna's 'What It Feels Like for a Girl' over top of A&B - No One on Earth! :eyespop: :eyes: :tongue2 :toocool:

Holy was that surprising and mind-blowing!!!

I was on stage at the time and just went INSANE!!!!

Mark is a freakin' GOD on the decks! ;)

I could swear it was A&B that played No One On Earth, not Mark. Since, it is their song and everything.

It was played twice...once by each.

!

I think you are right, I was just thinking that Mark dropped it again and did the vocal overlay with it...

but thinking back, I was on stag, and I think I was off the stag by the time MO came on..........

Okay, thats it, we need a 3rd (or 4th) party confirmation since my memory sucks so bad... who did work of art? Mark O or A&B?? :conf:

:toothless

Here's how it worked:

Around 3 AM me and my friend were getting exhausted so we went upstairs to Skybar to chill a little bit. A&B was still playing. While there, No One On Earth started playing and I was kicking myself for not being on the dance floor and missing it, until I was able to justify it that I didn't like the "For A Girl" overlap.

I guess that settles it, kids!

Sorry for my mis-taken DJ props to Mark for this particular instance. I give them instead to Above & Beyond.

(But I give Mark O props ALL THE TIME for the he does... so no worries that A&B is taking this one home!) ;)
