Review Above And Beyond At The Guv....... (pg. 5)

On Saturday, July 23, Above & Beyond brought down the heavens from the sky and gave it to us in the form of music. What a phenominal set; it was non-stop epic and melodic trance and I felt like I was flying through different worlds of euphoric wonders When they played my tune, Oceanlab - Beautiful Together (Signum Remix) I became a giant ball of energy being sacrificed to the sound. The transition between AVB - Shivers and Angelic - It's my Turn was so perfect, especially since the melodies in both songs are very similar. It was an awesome night indeed,
I met sooo many TAs, so many names and faces to remember arrrg..hehe in time I will. Everywhere I turned there was a TA, it was really nice to meet the lot of you, for those I didn't meet, I'll meet you next time. :D |

This was a night to remember!
Special thanks to all those who were in front of the stage all night long. We did a great job. m?
and yes, iLLnaDa, I was really touched, when you called my name from the top :) really.
I will mention everyone I met yesterday in my review which is coming later tonight!
Best night so far this year.

ps. Transmotion, I feel sorry you had to leave early.

above and beyond were amazing, better than most other top djs ive heard, i.e. avb, tiesto. Anyway good tunes include Jonas Steur - Silent Waves,
David West Feat Andreas Herman - Larry Mountains 54 (Original Mix), and of course the classics listed in this thread.... |

Great Party, considering I wasn't even planning to go to that party.
Above & Beyond played an incredible trance set. Unfortunately I had to enjoy it from the patio, since Guv was just way too packed until the end of their set.
A little dissapointed that A&B only played for 3 hours. With 2(or maybe even 3) guys that should be able to play a longer set.
Despite all that, I'm very happy I came out: Trance that A&B blessed us with is is not heard very often these days. |

they were supposed to play 3 hrs, but they actually played almost 4!

Insane set!!! i have to say these guys never disappoint!!!
As usual i never meet up with the TAs...but i did find gecko, Ken and some girl who pireced her tounge... sick! :D

Wow!
I had a great night. Above and Beyond were really great !
I didnt bring my camera so no pictures, thats ok though. They blew me away . Place was rammed like crazy (as I knew it would be ) but it got a little better around 3ish.
Got to party with a couple of old friends which was awesome! Never would i have imagined doing that with them.

| Just got home. What can I say about Above and Beyond? They were speechless. Fortunately, I had a chance to catch Jono and Pavvo after the set. I got their autograph!!!!:D :D :D :D I can't remember how I was at the Guv. But I think I was probably out of my mind(not being a psycho). I just am like that when I am so excited. I can't even think what to say. Good nite/morning/afternoon!!! ;) |

Finally I'm home.
What an amazing night. Above and Beyond completely blew me away. I just couldn't stop dancing. Definately one of my best sets I've heard.
Got there early, at around 10:30-11:00. Mark Oliver really impressed me. When Above and Beyond opened, I went mental, and didnt stop until we left at 6:30. Went home, had a shower, then hit up CZ for Deko-ze :)
Definately a night to remember. |

What a nite!!!!!!
Started off the evening attending a stag for a workmate of mine. Chilled, played pool, slipped out very quietly then went to Guv. I brought a friend of mine to celebrate his 23rd birthday...I swear he picked up some chick within 10 mins of us gettin there then I didnt see him all night LOL
Got in around 12ish. Already quite a crowd and a big ol' gang of TAs. Excellent to meet alot of new faces! Even better to see the regulars!! Mark Oliver for once actually got me groovin. (he usually doesnt do it for me)
Then there was Above & Beyond...
WOW!!!
Talk about a no nonsence set! They kicked my ass all the way till next Tuesday!! I really enjoyed them.
Mark did a good job closing the place. But by then I was dead on my feet anyway...

GENIOUS idea with the caution tape!!! I had it tied to the back of my hat. LOL
Stayed till the end with super sore legs and drove LKD home.
And here's the kick in the ass...no more than 500m from my house I got a speeding ticket! UGH!!!!!!!
