REVIEW: Chus & Ceballos @ We Dance Iberian Launch Party - Lot 332 (pg. 4)

I came to this party with high expectations and they were easily exceeded:

a) C&C played many new tunes that I have never heard before.

b) The night had the expected "C&C Iberican Sounds" but surprisingly at some points of their set it was more chunky, more funky, more dark that I had expected. I loved every second of it.

c) Lot332 was a decent venue for this event. It was horribly hot, but drinks were cheap (although no free water [bathroom or otherwise], ta-ta!), sound was suprising acceptable.

d) Crowd was good. A bit plastic-fantastic, a bit party-hardy - but everybody got along and "shook-it" until closed. I was surprised how long it took for people to get rockin' and then how quickly the crowd faded come 3:30 - but no compaints (more room to dance!).

Even though I was so tired I could hardly walk I had a good time at this party.
It as kind of nice to just chill and listen to the music and not get all mega sweaty.

It was nice to see some of the TA's who weren't at Above and Beyond on Saturday, RJ, Marg, Jeff, Richelle.

Great to party with Durafei one last time before the move, good luck buddy!

Definatly glad I decided to come out to this party. I showed up with a bunch of other party friends who have all moved up to Toronto and I don't see too often anymore. So it was great to hang out with them in our VIP room in the back.
I'd never been to LOT 332 before, I really liked the way it was decortaed...quite classy...I wasn't the biggest fan of the wall in the middle though, where the dancer was...it seemed like the bar was cut off into many little sections. I liked it non the less though!
The tunes were awesome...I stayed near the back to dance however, b/c I was really hot, and still super tired, having not slept since Friday night. I knew I had to go though, I had to see all the TAs again, especially the ones who couldn't make it out the night before!
Margs...great to finally meet you...and Illya...oh it was sad saying good-bye to you! But no tears...we'll party again someday!!
Feems, Irishaddict, Fuad, Dan, Lars, Jenn, Frankie, RJ, Richelle...all the others...great to see you again!
And the newbies I met...can't remember them all...I think I met Rhue? Floorwhore...I saw you, but as you may have seen in the "what do you hate about yourself" thread...super shy...so I didn't say hello! Until next time!! Anyway, it was great to meet the new TAs that I did!

And Jamie...thanks for you wonderful surprise. I'm really glad you decided to take off Monday and come out Sunday night. You're a sweetheart :)

I was pretty pissed when I found out...I was like "2.50 for water?! wow"...figures theyd charge less if they wouldn't let us refill

Huge thanks to Nada!! I was actually able to listen to these guys from her phone when the dirtiest beats came on at 3!!! And all I got to say is I'm currently shooting myself in the foot for missing this crazy event (although there was negative 10% chance I was gonna make it)

They would, you jsut had to be sneaky about it. Keep the bottle hidden on your way in. The guy working the sink was cool to the refills.

As a result of my deviousness, I provided as many drinks of water to people in need as I could.

Actually RJ went up to the guy guarding the bathroom and was like "dude, that's against the law...you have to give ppl access to free water...blah blah blah" something along those lines, I can't remember exactly what he said, but he told him why and ...and the guy was just like "ask the bartender." What frickin bartender would want to be filling water bottles all nite?
I just stuck mine in my purse though, and filled it up anyway.
