Has any one been to the Hard Rock Cafe down there??? |
Na, there are a million better places.
The end of August is always one of the best weekends in San Diego. The weather is at it's best and beaches are at their peak.
:toocool:
What a great way to end the summer hu?

| im not sure how feasible it is, but Mr. Tiki Mai Thai lounge is a ton of fun. Also, i remember for my birthday last year that ole' madrid had an area you could reserve for large parties. How many people showed up to the last meeting? |

Kris is right.. The yardhouse dosn't take reservations and 1/4 your party has to be there before they even seat you. Great food but the hassle and wait to get 1/2 the pepople to there there is just too much. ( no stress)
The 1st TA meet-up had 20 people or so. Most of us from LA to see Markus. Then the 2nd one had 50 or more! we took over RA! :disbelief but like Kris said Armin and Markus showed up and so did the TA's..
I can not go down to SD to check out places so I need ideas so I can call and ask if they can hold big parties with reservations... |

| I can probably find someplace, are you all dead set on being Downtown though, there are good places in other area's i.e. Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, and Old Town.... |

I think downtown is probably the easiest place to do it since it is so close to where the venue is going to be.
If we ar anticipating between 20 and 30 people then there are a few cool places that can provide for large parties. Here is from what I can remember.
Bucca Di Beppo - family style italian
Ole Madrid - Spanish/american cuisinse
Mr. TIki Mai Tai lounge - polynesian/asian fusion kinda deal
TOo early right now to think of anything else :) |

| :conf: Old town is the gas lamp right??? |
|
|
| technofriik |
| Gaslamp is downtown. Old town is 5-10 min drive away. Not the best place to meet for people unfamiliar with SD... |

| There is also rock bottom brewery downtown that could be a decent place to meet up at. |
