that's the truth and that's why people are so obsessed with them. IMO the only good songs are, fade to black, master of puppets, battery, damage, inc, one and that's it for their old . then comes new stuff like unforgiven, enter sandman, etc. |

| Yea, I remember when I first saw the St. Anger video and thinking...well that just wiped out any respect for their new material. It was clear from that song they sold out to commercialism, and started playing music for the masses and the money. |

That line " you flush it out" should be " you flush it down" reffering to their career and people's tiny speck of respect towards the band. |

| The only Metallica songs I like are on the Black Album. The rest, I really can't stand (with 1 or 2 exceptions). |

That not it for their old . Blackened, ...And Justic for ALL, one, & sanitarium were also awesome.
Id say my top three Metallica Songs of all time are:
1) Master of Puppets
2) Blackened
3) ...And Justice For all.
Id agree that the Black album isnt that good. Although, I do think it is phat & funky! 'Sad but True' is rather catchy. The others are rather forgetable.
Best albums of all time:
-Meshuggah: Catch 33 / Chaosphere
-Opeth: Black Water Park
-Metallica: ...And Justice For All / Master of Puppets
-Sepultura: Roots (that album has grown on me heaps)
-Tool: Aenima
Not very good albums:
-Megadeth (Dave Mustang can't sing for !)
-Metallica: St Anger. (It is a try-hard album that is trying to be cool but end up being lame)
-Metallica - Load (Load of )
-Dream Theatre: Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance (There are some riffs & solos that are simply amazing but they copy too much from other bands, eg "The Great Debate" sounds like a Tool song clone that has been chopped & bastardized! Like St Anger, they try to be cool, but end up lame. Disc 2 is like some aweful throw-back from the 80s)
-Slayer: God Hates Us All (you want a headache? then whack on this album!) |

metallica owned the 80's,megadeth owned the 90's.hands down.with albums like rust in peace,countdown to extinction,youthansia (my favourite of theirs) and cryptic writings they walked all over 'tallica.even the new megadeth album 'the system has failed' is very listenable.in short,megadeth were never influenced by commercialism.dave mustaine,i salute you :thepirate

i forgot about "one" but i still hate blackened lol. Megadeth do indeed suck.
Anal **** is a load of and Slayer's God Hates us All has a cool song, payback (if im not mistaken)
Also, if you like Sepultura then Roots is nonsense compared to Chaos A.D. that is considered one of the best heavy metal albums of all time along with metallica's master of puppies :p |
