line of credit? |
|

^^^ that's what I did.
if you have decent credit and even PT income, you may qualify for one without a co-signer. My friend works almost FT hours, yet made well under 30k last year and got a 9k student line for school this year.
If your parent(s) are willing to co-sign, GUARANTEED you'll get one through almost any of the major banks. |

Think of it as a "virtual" visa or bank account. You can transfer / withdraw money from it up to the limit you've been given.
Interest is generally pretty reasonable. The line I had was prime + 1% I think, so works out to be about 5-6%. The rate will vary with your credit risk of course.
When you draw on the line, you'll be responsible for making the monthly interest payments calculated on the amount taken. Once you graduate, you generally have a few months grace period and then the bank will make arrangements for you to start repaying the principal in addition to interest. |

Apply for a bursary through your school. However, if they have an interview process make sure to say where your/your parents income goes and why it can't be diverted towards your tuition. |

Here's where being 100% broke throughout highschool comes in handy. I'm glad my parents made me put every penny away from my job to pay for school. |
