So many to choose from...
Seeing The Black Hole in theatres with The Greens ranks pretty high up there. Specifically when you see Darth Vader's eyes... woops I meant Maximillian's. |

I was going to mention it as well.. but there's only so much I can throw out there...
The Engine that powers the Event Horizon was pretty cool too. |

Went to the cinemas to watch Deep Blue Sea and was all relaxed enjoying the movie. Was leaning forward in my seat and Samuel L. Jackson was making his speach and as he says "We are not going to die today!" this BIG ING SHARK jumps up and bites him in half. I copped such a fright that i almost fell out of my chair!! My friends started laughing at me and i was very embarrased...

I know that The Blair Witch Project produces divided opinions, but I'd have to say my scariest movie moment occurred during my first viewing of the film, in a nearly empty theater, without any knowledge or expectation of the format or plot. It was still an emerging cultural buzz, and hadn't quite burst into flame. From the total lack of opening credits, a creepy atmosphere of realism took over.
The moment in particular I'm thinking of is in the final seconds of the film, where the footage feeds from the girl's camera, while the audio is from the fallen camera of the friend she's frantically trying to find. Finally the audio indicates that she's on top of it, and she swings to see him facing the corner. Then hers falls in screams, and the footage ends.
If you paid attention to the backstory of their "documentary", and to the handprints inside the house, this ought to scare the out of you. It did me. |

Those little facehuggers give me the creeps even now... they look really freaky |
I love Aliens. Such an awesome balance of theatrics, creepiness, character, and so on. Just a brilliant film overall, and in my top five.
Too bad the hasty march toward the third installment discarded all of Cameron's masterful plot work in the Alien3 opening credits. Fckers. And we'll not even discuss the worthless garbage that followed, adding additional insult to injury. If anything is worth becoming a cynic over, the sad fate of the Alien franchise is it. As far as I'm concerned, the real story ended with Aliens. |

Added to this: Does anybody else notice that the more CGI is used in horror movies, the less scary it becomes. Horror movies were scary when they were shot so that the horror of it all was left somewhat to your imagination. Now, all of scary movies of today CGI the hell out of it and in the end, their movies turn out to be cheeze instead of creativly shot horror masterpieces. |
Absolutely. That's why I liked Blair Witch. All the rest of this special-effects e is simple junk food. |

| I don't know if I would call it a scary moment, But it was a heart wrenching moment at that. In Terminator 3, When John Connor and the chick that would become his wife in the future were in a bunker thinking Skynet was hidden there when it turns out, They put there for there protection, And as this happen, Skynet lunches it's nuclear missiles all over the world, I think it was the most shocking ending I seen in a Terminator movie, Yet there already planning a 4th film in the works. |

I saw The Cell with (Thanh,Rob and Matt)...
15 minutes into it I closed my eyes and plugged my ears and I waited for the muffled noise in my ears to indicate that the scene wasn't scary (since i'd have to open my eyes to leave), then I left. |
