I have to stick it out until August 19th or I don't get the credit. I can't just quit and throw it all away now.

This situation sucks.

Ah, I missed the co-op part of it.

Just cause Cale.

What great advice.
Just cause on your co-op, and hope that its the company's reputation that will be tarnished, not yours.

Did we ever establish whether this gas mileage reimbursement is in writing? It is part of your compensation - if you didn't have them commit to it in writing at the beginning of your co-op, unfortunately you dont have much of a leg to stand on. It's not that difficult to figure out how far it is to work, how much gas is, and therefore, how much compensation is fair.

Unfortunately it isn't in writing, and therefore this may very well have been myself digging my own grave in that respect.

Uhmmm that didn't literally mean to run around trashing offices while yelling and screaming. It was a metaphorical way of saying 'speak up.' Clearly 'cause ' in its most literal form was not my intention as you'll notice from the advice I posted BEFORE I wrote that.

Is there the possibility that one of the other people you are doing the co-op with thought of getting this in writing? May be worth looking into

As for what you wrote before that, I don't think the school has the upperhand with the co. he works for - the company is the one SELECTING which schools to recruit from, and selecting applicants. The school has to preserve its reputation with the company - the other way around, not as much.

Cale you should just get a flintstone-mobile.

Problem solved.

They're all in the same situation, and hate it as much as I do. I don't think any of them had the foresight to get it in writing either.

They do if the company wants to maintain a relationship with them...which in most cases they will, if not for their reputation then at least for the tax break, ha.

Oh I'm sure in time the floor boards in his car will fall out. Then he can just slap it in neutral and Flintstone away!
